Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Sorta of close to the Caverns Anonymous, San Antonio, TX, 2007-03-13 Carlsbad Caverns, ZooOur stay was fine at .Super 8 Motel - Carlsbad, CARLSBAD, NM. Motel did need some upkeep and needed to be renovated (just seemed dated). Kids were upset that the pool was closed. Score 4 out of 5 My review of Super 8 Motel - Carlsbad Dawn, 2007-03-12 close to Carlsbad Caverns. Get something to eat before 8 PM, the town closes early!the room was clean, except under the beds. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean, except the runner between floor and wall was pulled awat from the wall. It was 45 min from CarlsBad Caverns (not to far). The people at the front desk were nice, but not very clean. The room was a good size for 2 double beds. I wish there was a resturant close to the hotel. they do have a washer and dryer. For the lower cost, it was a very good value. Score 1 out of 5 Below Par Anonymous, 2006-12-28 nothing was very close byThe bathroom was clean. The carpet needed cleaning. The mattress pad was loose and bunched up under us. We tried to sleep in spite of the noise coming from the unit upstairs. It sounded like they were moving furniture all night long. Score 2 out of 5 Review Martha, Albuquerque, NM, 2006-06-14 The Carlsbad Caverns were an easy 15 minute drive from our motel. The person that checked us in at the Super 8 Motel in Carlsbad, NM was very friendly and professional. The hallway to our room smelled very foul, as did one of our two rooms. The odor never let up and it was not something you could grow accustomed to. The shower had not been completely cleaned as well. There were three motels across the street from ours that were all nicer. I was disappointed in the smell of the room. I would have preferred a better class of motel. When I arrived it was obvious every hotel and motel in town had vacancy. Score 1 out of 5 A SMELLY STAY DEAN, 2006-05-29 THE CAVERNS ARE WORTH THE TRIP.THE ODOR IN THE BLDG. WAS BAD! THE T. V. DID NOT WORK, BUT THE DESK CLERK FIX IT . THE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST WAS VERY BAD NO FRUIT, NO ROLLS, ONE WAFFLE MAKER, AND 10 PEOPLE WAITING TO USE IT, VERY SMALL ROOM FOR SUCH A LARGE MOTEL. THE BATH ROOM WAS DIRTY Score 5 out of 5 My review of SUPER 8 MOTEL - CARLSBAD Cherokee, 2006-05-27 Our visit was to Carlsbad Caverns. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Carlsbad - the caverns were huge, and we had a self-guided tour. We went back at 7 p.m. to see the bats leave the cavern. It was awesome. The Super 8 - Carlsbad was a very convenient, easy to find location. This was the closest motel to the caverns, which are 15 miles away. We particularly like continental breakfasts when we travel, and this one was very good. The room was large, comfortable, and to our satisfaction. We especially liked the fact that there was no noise. Our room was extremely quiet, making our stay much more rewarding. There were several restaurants nearby. Would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Score 2 out of 5 Overpriced for low standards of clean Theodore, 2006-04-20 Close to Carlsbad Cavern. Nice park along river for walking, in town of Carlsbad.Overpriced in light of low maintenance and cleaning standards (as we discovered after we took this room). |
