The Inn of the Anasazi, A Rosewood Hotel, celebrates the enduring creative spirit of the region's early Native Americans. Located in the heart of Santa Fe's plaza, the 57-room Inn is an elegant microcosm of Southwestern style with massive hand-carved doors, sculptured stairways and sandstone walls that whisper of prehistoric Pueblo living. Not only was the hotel built in true tradition but the hotel was blessed by an Anasazi medicine man and buried beneath the buildings and within the walls and ceilings are crystals thought to have magical powers. The ground the hotel sits on is historic and contains many artifacts, and ruins of ancient times.
Santa Fe's Inn of the Anasazi is a unique, year-round destination for guests with discerning taste. The hotel's intimate event venues accommodate 10 to 40 guests. Comprehensive guest services, exceptional food and beverage and an experienced concierge staff ensure that each and every guest feels welcome and at home.
Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Lovely and romantic David, Denver, CO KThe hotel is a short walk from major art galleries and e;picurean class restaurants. You won't lack for good food, good art, good drink, and nightlife. This hotel is a lovely and romantic inn in the center of Santa Fe. The room was very much in the southwest style, with a corner fireplace and wood floors and large wooden beams in the ceiling. The fireplace was lit, a bottle of champagne was iced and fruit on a tray as a welcome. The halls were wide and attractive. Southwest Native American and Spanish art was everywhere. The location couldn't have been better- avout 200 feet off the Plaza. The only downside was the 17.00 dollar / day parking charge. A little pricey. Otherwise I would highly recommend it for a wonderful long weekend getaway. Score 5 out of 5 Nicest hotel we've ever stayed in! Laurie, Houston, TX, 2006-08-14 The square is only 1/2 block away with live music, people relaxing, dogs romping , kids playing and vendors selling their wares. It is very fun to hang out there, meet friends and shop. Wonderful galleries and restaurants surround the square. Stan Natchez's gallery is across the square; he's a talented Native American artist. The Inn of the Anasazi is unbelievable! The beds are extremely comfortable with thick comforters and down pillows. Each night the staff put cookies by our bed, turned down the beds, and replaced the bottled water at no extra charge. The first night they brought 2 local brew pub beers, guacamole, hot sauce and chips for a midnight snack. Our college age daughters thought that was awesome! Everything is close by. The plaza is a 3 minute walk. The restaurant is delicious; albeit very pricey. We will definitely stay there again. The in room fireplaces are beautiful and the bathrooms are luxurious with lovely amenities. The front desk is professional and super helpful. Score 5 out of 5 Great atmosphere and food Philip, San Diego, CA, 2006-06-30 Canyon Road offers many art galleries and is well known for its attraction as an art colony. One of the best hotel and dining experiences in recent memory. Would recommend this hotel and already have to friends and business partners. Score 5 out of 5 Everything we hoped for, and more Gail, 2006-04-26 Make sure you check out the Native American artists' work in front of the plaza. It's not only very reasonably priced, but you have the opportunity to talk with the person who designed and made the piece, and the quality of their work has been certified by the local artists council. The Inn of the Anasazi was everthing we hoped for - inside and out: beautiful accommodations, lovely artwork, stunning dried flower arrangements, exceptional food, and outstanding service and hospitality. The gas-lit kiva fireplace and adjustable lighting added a romantic touch to the room, and there were water, fresh fruit, and home-made cookies in the room awaiting our arrival. The Inn is located just around the corner from the Plaza at the heart of Santa Fe's beautiful historic downtown; the concierge provided great suggestions for our walking tour of the downtown. We breakfasted at the hotel every morning, and the blackberry flapjacks were the best pancakes I've ever eaten; my husband's favorite was the poached eggs over duck hash. |
