Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 AWFUL! Anonymous, Newark, NJ No review provided by user Score 2 out of 5 Bad Maintenance Sudarsana, Hartford, CT, 2006-11-25 McDonalds is couple of blocks away. CVS Pharmacy is right opposite the hotel and its sorrounded by a lot of restaurants. It was a pathetic maintenance. Room doesn't even has proper LOCK, had hard time to unlock the room. There were deep holes on the wall, don't know what they for but didn't really feel the privacy being in there. But it could have be worth the money if at least privacy part could have be taken care. Room was good space wise, it has good table area and bathroom was bigger. Good for travellers. The ice machine was broken. no shower head and very little water pressure. The hotel had a pool that was clean and laundromat on premises. The location was excellent. Score 5 out of 5 friendly and helpful in any need anna, 2006-04-03 nice areaI was greeted with a smile at time of check-in. Professional staff at desk. Bright, airy rooms with a desk, chairs, roomy closet and clean bathroom with vanity area. Bed and linen was clean and comfortable. Quiet area with no noise of next occupants. Restaurants were ample with just a few blocks away. I enjoyed my stay and will return. Score 2 out of 5 Very unhappy Visitor Anonymous, 2006-02-26 If you want to get a good breakfast before going into Atlantic City eat in Abescon. The Luxury Inn Abescon NJ was a real dissapointment. The room was clean. The soap was so small you could not bath with it. The biggest problem was the room do not have an alarm clock and we asked for a wake up call and did not get one. The linens were very old. I know we did not pay very much for a room I was going to a business workshop and I did not have a special need to have a really nice room. But I have on many occasions paid the same amount and stayed in a much better hotel and room. Score 3 out of 5 Very so-so Darren, Baltimore, MD, 2006-02-19 There were a few fast food places like McDonalds down the street and a Eckards drug store right across the street and a grocery store across the street as well. The Luxury Inn Absecon was very average. I must say that I've stayed at much better two-star motels. First and foremost, the office personnel were very friendly. when I got to the room it was very clean. The batteries in the TV's remote control were dead and had to be replaced. The location of the motel was great, with grocery stores and fast food restaurants located very close by. I guess I'm just used to housekeeping coming in while I'm out of the room, because I noticed that there was none done while I was out. Check-out was simple and easy. Score 1 out of 5 totally disgusted Anonymous, Baltimore, MD, 2005-11-13 The room was not clean at all. The bed had hairs on the sheets that were not mine, the shower curtain had mildew on it, the sink had dried orange juice pulp in it and dried soap residue around it. The floor was filthy and the staff made no type of arrangements to reimburse me. Totally disgusted! Score 5 out of 5 Nice quiet getaway Anonymous, Newark, NJ, 2005-10-28 The pizza shop across the way was great! Good food at a fair price! The Luxury Inn was very comfortable and the in-room jacuzzi was larger (and much better!) than we had originally expected! There were plenty of places to order-in food from, and a multitude of convenience stores, banks, ect. It was also only about a 15-20 minute ride down to Atlantic City and its many shops and attractions. |
