Quiet and friendly

The Appalachian Mountain Club's Highland Center is a short drive from the inn and runs many family friendly outdoor programs.
The Bretton Arms Country Inn is on the grounds, a short walk away, from the Mount Washington Hotel. I loved that we could use all the facilities of the Mount Washington including indoor and outdoor pool, tennis courts, and exercise rooms. We appreciated being given the choice of eating breakfast at the Bretton Arms or at the Mount Washington since the Mount Washington Breakfast is a gorgeous, white table-clothed buffet with doting waiters. We found the Country Inn to be very quiet and private-no slamming doors and loud voices in hallsways like on our last stay at the Mount Washington. Therefore, we found that we received the best of both worlds, the calmness of the inn combined with the amentites of the Hotel.
