Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 family friendly Anonymous, Denver, CO, 2006-08-20 Several good restaurants just down the streetThe Days Inn in Grand Forks was very comfortable and reasonable. Staff was very accomodating. The rooms clean and well furnished. Location was close to shopping and many restaurants. It was also close to the interstate, but in a quiet neighborhood. Would definately stay there again. Score 2 out of 5 smokey & flat pillow carol, Minneapolis, MN, 2006-07-30 The hotel was as most hotels, basic, conveniently located, room was clean. The problem with this hotel was that the smell of cigarette smoke permiated the lobby and all hallways. Our room, however, did not smell of smoke. The other problem was that the only two pillows in the room were completely flat, and even putting both of them together did not offer the thickness of a regular pillow. I know some people prefer a flat pillow, but my husband and I do not. Finally, the sign for the Days Inn could not be seen from the main road. It was almost completely hidden by an over-handing tree. could not see the Days Inn sign until we were within 100 feet of the entrance. Score 2 out of 5 Poor Maintenance Anonymous, 2006-07-09 There are several restaurants nearby. The people at the front desk were very helpful in every way & very friendly. Upon arrival the sheets & towels were clean, but the rest of the room was not. I don't believe that in the 10 days we were there the room was vacuumed! On a couple of days the maintenance people were right at our door when we left for the day & told us that our room was next, but when we got back to the room, it had not been touched. We got fresh towels at the front desk those two days. I don't believe our bed linen was changed in that time, either. The windows were so dirty we could barely see thru them! The location of the hotel was perfect for our use; that was one of the reasons we chose it in the first place. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this hotel only because of the poor maintenance. Also, when we left we were not given a receipt. Score 5 out of 5 Very comfortable Anonymous, 2005-11-11 Good shopping location. The Days Inn was in a good location for shopping in the area. I like the convience of continental breakfast. The shower curtain was neat in the bathroom area. Score 2 out of 5 Poor Maint. Pool not clean Linda, International Falls, MN, 2005-07-16 As we arrived at the front door, the door handle was broken, he dining area seemed extremely dirty, carpet etc. This being the front lobby of the hotel, it is the first impression at I think that is important. Also the pool was not at all clean, the water was extremely cloudy and it smelled as if the pool was not properly maintained! Otherwise our room was clean! There was not much of a variety of foods at the continental breakfast, Just three options, toast, doughnut, or waffle! No cereal or fruit, not yogurt or bagels, no milk. Score 5 out of 5 Great place to stay... Anonymous, Winnipeg, MB, 2005-07-10 An excellent little hotel - inexpensive, clean and close to shopping...overall very nice... Score 4 out of 5 nice and clean Anonymous, 2005-06-16 It, was late, I was tired, I wanted quiet. The people upstairs were noisy. But I slept anyway. |
