the Super 8, Black Mountain motel offered the quickest exit to I-40 i could have ever imagined. all i had to do was exit left out of the motel parking lot (which was hwy 70) and in a flash, i was on I-40. I was not looking for a fancy hotel/motel, just a bed for a little shut eye before getting back on the road. If the room would have been a bit more clean, i would have referred some friends. i myself would probably stay there again because it was so convenient to I-40.

Black Mountain is a charming little town and it is worth visiting it. The hotel is close to downtown and eating places, in walking distances. Good for 2-3 days if you want to visit the surroundings or passing through but does not have great amenities.

Biltmore State is located at about 14 miles from the hotel.

The hotel is located a little bit off the main strip.

The breakfast leaves much to be desired. And the rooms look like all that has been done to them since the hotel was build is they slap on a new coat of paint every couple of years. The rooms were clean however the power doesn't always work, nor does the cable.

Cheap Basic Room

Downtown Black Mountain is a great mountain town to spend a couple of days. Very short drive and parking is available.

If you need 1 night and do not plan to stay in the room other than to sleep... this is your place.
