Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 Needs work! Anonymous, 2006-10-17 There is no elevator, and the bathroom was not clean. There was a sticky residue on the floor in the bathroom. We elected not to bathe there. Beds are comfortable. Each room has double sliding doors opening onto a balcony on the second floor; on first floor they open to the street. Security of these doors is very questionable. Our room was part of an adjoining room, and that bothered me; however the city was full as was the surrounding area for the furniture market, so we were lucky to find even that. Staff is very friendly. I would have to be desparate to stay here again, mainly due to the cleanliness and security issues. Score 2 out of 5 Some what family friendly John, Durham/Raleigh, NC, 2005-10-23 There are plenty of resturants within 5 mi.Let me say that, they are converting over from a run down Knights Inn to the Greensboro Hotel. We had to be moved from our first room to another, there were three dogs that would not stop barking next door in the first room. The staff was very nice about moving us.The second room had a 12 inch TV.There was not any hot water at 9:00 PM.it was hot at 5:30 AM the next morning. The room was clean, but not what I am accustomed to staying in. Score 2 out of 5 SOMEWHAT SATISFIED Ruble, Greenville, SC, 2005-10-23 THE HOTEL WAS IN PROCESS OF RENOVATIONS, WHICH SEEM TO BE COMING ALONG. BUT DUE TO THE MESS AROUND THE HALLWAYS AND STAIRWAYS, I FEEL THE PRICE SHOULD HAVE BEEN REDUCED. DURING OUR STAY OUR ROOM RAN OUT OF HOT WATER ON A NIGHT WE NEEDED IT THE MOST. I FEEL IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF MORE EFFICIENTLY OR THE COST OF OUR STAY REDUCED BECAUSE OF IT. OVERALL THE STAFF WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY, AND KEPT THE ROOM CLEAN ON BOTH NIGHTS THAT WE STAYED. UNDER OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES I WOULD HAVE RE-THOUGHT STAYING, BUT WE WERE IN NEED OF A HOTEL ROOM CLOSEST TO THE MARTINSVILLE SPEEDWAY IN VIRGINIA, AND THIS ONE WAS THE ONLY ONE AVAILABLE. Score 3 out of 5 Last Resort Anonymous, Pittsburgh, PA, 2005-10-19 The Four Seasons Mall Area is less than a 10 min. drive. The Greensboro Hotel was formally the Knights Inn (sign was still up, made it confusing to find). It is run down. They are in the process of renovations. The furniture in the room was in bad shape, but the room was clean. The location is about 5 minutes from downtown and under 10 minutes to the Four Seasons Mall area. I had to argue with the front desk. She said that they had never rented their rooms that cheap, although Overall the room was functional for what I needed for one night, but I won't go back. |
