Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great Place to Stay Anonymous, Durham/Raleigh, NC, 2007-03-09 The cafe next door has the best Chicken Ceasar Salad and the buffalo wings were out of this world. The Days Inn on Market Street in Wimington was a great comfortable place to stay. I was in Wilmington on a two day business. Trip. The hotel room was comfortable and well kept. The stay were nice and helpful. The location is great for someone who is an out of towner because it is an easy access to the main highway. There is also a lot of places for you to dine and get the neccessary items that you might need. Score 5 out of 5 Clean and Comfortable William, Providence, RI, 2007-02-05 I found the Days Inn Wilmington to be clean, comfortable, and attractive. The shower had great water pressure, and although the exterior of the motel was very well lit the light didn't intrude past the thick curtains at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is centrally located. The only negative thing about my stay was the fact that the in-room coffee maker didn't work correctly, something I didn't discover until my last morning. Score 5 out of 5 Great restaurant Courtney, Washington, DC, 2007-02-04 The Days Inn is half-way in between historic downtown Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach, so it's a good location if you want to spend time at both of these locations. You know a motel restaurant is good if people come to eat breakfast there even if they're not staying at the motel. Jeanette's, located just off the lobby of the Days Inn, serves homemade preserves, perfectly sweetened iced tea, and the best omelette I've had in a long time. I highly recommend the Days Inn on Market St. in Wilmington and especially breakfast at Jeanette's. Score 1 out of 5 Gross Chris, Columbia, SC, 2006-12-16 Verey dirty, alot of vagrants in area. Truck stop hotel atmosphere. price too high for this type room Score 5 out of 5 Had a good stay Anonymous, Springfield, IL, 2006-10-08 Waffle House, IHOP, CharliesThe Days Inn was loacated on the main strip of Wilmington so most things were within walking distance. The movie theaters are just around the corner and resturants all around. The room was clean and well kept. I'd stay there again. Score 4 out of 5 So So Eric, 2006-07-10 Beach was only 5 minutes away, along with restraunts and shopping, a real good movie theater just a few blocks awaySome of the front desk help at night seemed not to know what they were doing. They were going through some remodeling that caused some discomfort to me and they did not seem to realy care. It was a very clean motel, again the staff was not the most pleasant bunch.(front desk). The room service staff was very good, I wish that they spoke better or more english so I could have convayed that to them. Score 2 out of 5 All was not great FRANK, 2006-07-08 The cafe' in the hotel had a great breakfast and was given at a great price. The Best Western Strovall room size was great, but the carpet was very worned, there was no trash bags in trash wast baskets/continers in the room. The TV picture was very bad you could barely make out the faces of people on cable. The staff was very kind. The hotel was very close to the beach. Score 4 out of 5 My review of Wilmington - Days Inn Market Street robert, Fort Myers, FL, 2006-06-29 marshall's clothing store is real close. restaurants are real close also.........The Days Inn was very comfortable and the room was clean. The only drawback was the location. It is not situated in the safest part of the city. Went over to the Waffle House for a last night breakfast and a fight broke out in the restaurant. The manager of the restaurant told me that this is an unsafe place to be . Score 4 out of 5 Good Location / Clean / Good Price Robert, 2006-05-21 There's a steak and BBQ restaurant right next door. Another block down is a Hooters. A short drive from the hotel provides plenty of other eating establishments.Nothing wrong with this hotel. It's a bit older (and older looking) -- and the pink doors don't help things. But, the rooms were fine, and clean. The hotel didn't offer a continental breakfast, but they do have a diner/restaurant, and you can get a discount if you show your room card. The rooms were a bit small, but that was expected. The pillows on the bed were pretty flat. But still, for a cheaper hotel room (which is what we wanted), it was just fine. I would have no problems staying there again. The location was great, especially for us who were going to Wrightsville beach. Turn right out of the hotel parking lot, and continue to the beach. Can't be much more simple. Plenty of restaurants around. We thought the area was a "good" area. We were not worried about going out at night, or even walking around. Good location, clean room, good price. That's exactly what I want when I go to the beach. For for most beach trips, this will be just fine. Score 5 out of 5 My review of Wilmington - Days Inn Market Street julie, 2006-04-27 Popular restaurants next dorr and across the street. very convenient and good variety to choose from. Not knowing my way around Wilmington, this hotel has a great location on a main road that would take you downtown or away from town. If I had my family with me, it would be very family friendly. Being alone for this stay on a business trip, it was good to have premium channels on the tv to pass the time. Only problem is not enought parking spaces to allow parking close to my room and I would have felt safer if I could park close to my room. other than that, my stay was comfortable. |
