Historic downtown location is everything and we've got it at the Best Western Ponderosa Inn. We're downtown in the business, shopping and historic districts; minutes from the Medical Corridor, Metra Park Arena and Billings Logan Airport. We are in the heart of fine dining, including Timbers, arts and entertainment. Not only a great location, we have the facilities and amenities one could want, whether you are traveling for business or pleasure. When you stay with us you are in the center of it all.

Dining options were really limited. 10-15 minutes away from shopping and most contemporary restaurants. Over-priced for accomodations. Score 2 out of 5 First Timer to Billings Wonders if this is as good as it gets. robert, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-10-08 One Block East, and One Block South... McCormick's Restraunt, and coffee house! Best food we had in Billings. Two people, drinks and dessert, only $22 + tip! Delicious Buffalo Burger, and killer Chicken Rice Soup! Stella's in the parking lot, a hearty breakfast, and the cinnamon rolls to the size of a truck tire! The Clocktower Inn rests in the easy downtown area, but offers little in the way of comforts. The soda machine was constantly empty (4 days we were there), and with no mini mart, mini bar or grocery for almost a mile it was difficult to get something besides tap water to drink. Stella's restaurant is a fine choice as a diner, but do not expect to get in on the weekend morning. If you do ford the crowd, the GIANT cinnamon roll is great. As a better choice, find McCormick's around the corner to the East. Hotel staff could not give proper directions to get there, but with some stumbling, we found it on our own. Our best meal in Billings! Affordable and worth the 2 block hike, for sure! Coffee in the room is good, even I must say, some of the best in room coffee I have had. Shampoo selection could be improved, since the conditioner smells like toilet bowl cleaner. Hotel might consider soft water as an improvement. Oh, is there an elevator? We could not find one, and with our baggage the stairs were not such a joy. Hotel is great for high school sports teams and those on a tight budget, but not the business traveler or those wanting to feel pampered. Park early if you want a parking place. Rooms were pretty quiet and warm with decent beds. The flowers on the rail pots and out front, give a nice Bavarian coziness and the Lobby entices a down home feel. Score 4 out of 5 Average Hotel. Jan, Philadelphia, PA, 2006-08-30 There are several good restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. At night it was a little uncomfortable because of the people hanging across the street at the Women's Shelter! The Best Western Clock Tower Inn Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was average to slightly above average. The pool was nice but I'm not sure if it was worth the price. Score 4 out of 5 Suited the purpose Anonymous, Boston, MA, 2005-07-30 Good breakfast at the top of the Sheraton Hotel located a block away. (Note: the Sheraton was booked full for rooms)Arrived very late in Billings and had to have a one night stay and it was convenient. Score 4 out of 5 Not three star Anonymous, 2005-07-16 This hotel is listed as a three star, but it is max a two star. Generally just an old motel in a borderline area of town.
