Monica, Dallas, TX, 2006-08-19 Nothing in this town is very far away (by car) that is. There are some eateries within walking distance as well as a grocery store. Helena has one way streets everywhere. *** Important, have the staff tell you about the back way in to the hotel so you don't keep going in "one-way cricles"!!!The Shilo Inn in Helena was perfect for us. I can't say it was the most beautiful hotel or room I have been in, but aside from that you couldn't ask for a better place to stay. The rooms were quiet, the staff was friendly and accomodating. The shower was WONDERFUL! It was in a great central location to restaurants and grocery stores. I loved the refrigerator and microwave in the room. Courtesy laundry facilities were there and were a great help to us for our 2 weeks of travel. We enjoyed our stay there so much, that we reserved another night in our same room for our trip! We look forward to staying at more hotels from this chain, especially if they are as good as this one! Score 5 out of 5 A good value William, Billings, MT, 2005-05-06 I haven't stayed at this hotel for years, primarily because there are several newer, bigger, more upscale hotels and motels in Helena that I have used when traveling for business, which is why I usually travel to Helena. I stayed here on this occasion because I was in town for a single night to move my son out of his dormitory and the price was right (i.e., cheaper) than the places I normally stay. I was very surprised at how nice the accomodations were. The rooms are clean and quiet, there is a nice indoor pool and an acceptable continental breakfast in the morning. I would definitely stay here again. |
