One can enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools with hot tubs. This hotel has also got fitness center/game room/guest laundry and a great continental breakfast. Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Room for improvement Anonymous, Orange County, CA, 2006-08-21 The GrandOaks Hotel was decent enough and the staff pleasant, however I would like to find a hotel with wireless internet IN MY OWN ROOM and use of their business center free if so needed. The breakfast is disapointing for anyone that is the least bit health conscious. The focus on breakfast here is CARBOHYDRATES; donuts, toast, bagels, rolls, 3 cereals, oatmeal, milk and juice. I was really turned off witnessing the breakfast help deny a family with small children the remaining milk and cereal. The help was determined it was off-limits at 9:59 a.m. even though there were plenty of other items for the help to busy herself with and take away or clean up after. Even after a plea of please the help was adament about taking all the food to the back room. I doubt this family returns. It was sad. The best part was the front desk staff, but that just isn't enough sometimes. Location is convenient with a large assortment of affordable restaurants close by. In conclusion, price, some of the staff, and location is what this hotel has going for itself. Score 4 out of 5 A good hotel: Warren, Chicago, IL, 2006-08-09 Traffic is congested in Branson. If you know that in advance it can be delt with. This visit was not as pleasent as the first time I went there a year and a half ago. The room had no coffee maker,no refrigerator. The first time we were there, the room had those amenities. I was figuring on them because I had medication to refrigerate. The hotel was convient to attractions that we wanted to go to. A good location. Score 5 out of 5 very good value Anonymous, 2006-07-14 There is an nice outlet mall a short drive away, several restaurants walking distance and a miniature golf place a comfortable walking distance. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. There were no problems with noise. My room had queen beds with a split bathroom. The sink was seperate and open to the rest of the room with the toilet and shower together which worked out very well for myself and other mother traveling with me. The breakfast was no gourmet delight but quite adequate. The staff member I had at check in I hoped was new, she was friendly enough but not competent. I liked the location, it is on the north side of the strip with access to several alternate or back roads to get around easily while avoiding the strip. Score 4 out of 5 Want a Pool?? Anonymous, 2006-05-15 When we checked in we were sent to the building next door (another hotel bldg that had been purchased by this hotel). No pool there, we would have to walk thru the parking lot up the hill to the main hotel in order to use the pool. When my husband complained at the front desk at check in time, was told you should have requested a room by the pool. We went to the room assigned us and about 15 minutes later, desk clerk called us to advise there was a room in main hotel on 1st floor available and we could move over there, which we did. Also there is a charge to use the exercise equipment. The continental breakfast was very nice. Close to the Branson 7 mile clubs. Score 3 out of 5 family friendly Joel, Melbourne, FL, 2006-05-14 The Hotel had two buildings. We were in the one with no internet conection, no indoor pool, no front desk,no workout room. These things were an uphill 10 min. walk to get to so we did not use them. After that other than we were in the far away building things went fine. Score 5 out of 5 good place to stay Anonymous, San Jose, CA, 2006-03-20 very good resturant is next door.A very good value for the money. IT was clean and was very nice. I would stay there again. |
