Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great Couple Getaway Anonymous, Memphis, TN, 2006-12-31 Chase park Plaza was very comfortable and staffed with helpful knowledgeable people. Music at the hotel was good and dining was excellent. The West End neighborhood is full of restaurant and shops and there is lots to see iwhtin walking distance. You must drive to get to the rest of downtown but it's easy and the valets give great direction. The one bedroom suite was huge. Bathrood was small for such a big set of rooms and there was no where to put the coffee maker. Other than that, great hotel and we'll stay there again. Score 5 out of 5 comfortable and welcoming Don, 2006-11-24 The Chase is a St. Louis landmark, and more. It's in a perfect location in the Central West End, surrounded by great restaurants (and has a few of its own, Bistro and Cafe Eau - you don't have to leave the premises). The suite was spacious. Ask for the parkside view. Score 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-11-18 Walk across the street to the BEAUTIFUL park!Score 4 out of 5 Quaint hotel near the park Richard, Hartford Ct/Springfi, CT, 2006-04-13 A huge park with FREE entrance to the zoo and science center are a moderate walk (1.5 miles) or short cab ride. The Chase Park Plaza is located right next to Forest Park, a few blocks from the medical center, and has wonderful restaurants. I enjoyed an excellent dinner outside near the pool. A movie cinema is attached at the back of the main lobbey--great way to relax after along day anad not have to travle anywhere. The rooms are small but very clean. Although there is no wireless service available, a connection wire for fast speed access was provided in the room. The current renovations are also very nice, BUT make sure to ask what floor and how early they start working. If you want to sleep past 830am, ask not to be near the construction workers. Score 4 out of 5 Nice but loud Mary, Chicago, IL, 2005-09-25 This is a great neighborhood - especially for dining and cafes you can stroll to. There is plenty of nightlife - mostly for young adults - but it's not too loud either. We spent our wedding night here. When my husband checked in, he told the clerk it was our wedding and we'd love to have a nice room - eg. a nice view, say (yes, he specified that this was what he meant). He "upgraded" us and we got a room next to the elevator looking at the parking garage. It had a queen bed that was jammed into a corner of the room. The upgrade was that it was a mini-suite and had a full kitchen. Who needs a kitchen on their wedding night? Generally, this is a nice hotel and in a great location. Score 5 out of 5 Jaw-Dropping Luxury Experience Deborah, New York, NY, 2005-09-12 The Central West End neighborhood and its nice restaurants and bars; view the astounding mansions; The St. Louis Cathedral; Forest Park; the St. Louis Zoo; the Missouri Botanical Garden -Everything about this hotel was superlative and one of our best hotel experiences. The hotel is grand beyond description -- one has to see it to believe it. There are five restaurants and bars and even a movie theater on site. The pool is stunning. The palatial decor is jaw-dropping. We splurged and paid extra for a one-bedroom suite which was a full one-bedroom apartment. The staff was most polite and helpful. Considering the luxurious, one of a kind experience we actually found the price to be somewhat of a bargain. Score 5 out of 5 Simply beautiful. Rickey, St Louis, MO, 2005-09-05 The Central West End is only a few blocks to the NE of the Plaza, and is filled with antiques, galleries, and a wonderful assortment of sidewalk cafe's. Part Greenwich Village, part European in ambiance. And try out the Sub-Zero Vodka Bar on Euclid, serving over 150 varieties of vodka from a floor-to-ceiling freezer to a frozen bar. Be sure to give Lilly the bartender a big WAR EAGLE!The hotel is immaculate, and if opulence is what you are looking for, this is the hotel for you. The rooms are a bit small for the price, but if you have time to avail yourself of the ammenities - and if money is no object - I would highly recommend this hotel. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2005-07-03 Great restaurants, terrific neighborhood, easy access to the park, and exceptional fitness center. |
