Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Excellent for romance or family getaway Anonymous, 2006-11-04 Just a few blocks away is the Kansas City, MO Plaza with many shops. There seems to be something for everyone of all ages. Some of the shops are very spendy but it's always fun to look. The Raphael Hotel's overall experience was awesome. It has an antique charm with 21st century amenities. The room we stayed in was very large. There was a large sitting room with a couch, table and chairs, and TV. Attached was a large bedroom with a kingsize bed and TV with a vanity and an attached bath. The staff was attentive and friendly. The location puts you walking distance to the Plaza which is famous for great shops and restaurants. Parking was not a problems. It was free for both our cars ... even valet! We plan on going back when the Plaza lights are lit. Score 5 out of 5 My review of Raphael Hotel Anonymous, St Louis, MO, 2005-10-17 Easy walking distance from the PlazaThe Raphael is in a great location in the Plaza. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely stay here again. Score 5 out of 5 Review Joseph, Chicago, IL, 2005-10-05 Many top rated restaurants are with in walking distance.Score 5 out of 5 Wonderful Hotel! Michael, Chicago, IL, 2005-08-21 Two places to go; The Melting Pot is right accross the street! WONDERFUL food, drinks and atmosphere! Took my sweetie there and had a romantic time! The second place Skies at the Hyatt Hotel. Overlooks the whole city as the entire restuarnt "turns". We had great food while there for our three hour stay! The dining area rotated around the city-scape three or four times! Beautiful evening...First time in Kasas City, Mo. Wanted to stay somewhere easy to access and in the buzz of town. This place is it! Friendly/helpful staff, CLEAN rooms, very well taken care of prpoerty. Bottom line it's a very romantic place to stay. I did not have the opportunity to dine in the resturant, but based on the flow of guests in and out of the resturant area - I'm sure it's as outstanding as the rest of the hotel was... Score 4 out of 5 nice and neat Joel, 2005-07-30 We loved!!! the Capital Grille, I have eaten at hundreds of restaurants all over the country and it was the best filet I have ever tasted. It was so good we went there two nights in a row. Prepare to spend around $60 per person, with everthing. This was my first stay at the Raphael. It was a very neat and clean facility. Not real fancy. I would recommend a suite over the basic room ,as it is a tad small. Free roadrunner was plus. Also, as for choices at the Plaza, besides the Fairmont, there is no other choice, easy walking distance to the plaza, which is a real plus. Score 4 out of 5 Good Value but Needs Attention Jeff, 2005-07-24 This boutique hotel in an older building, has been redone in the last few years but needs more attention. The suite on the upper floor was spacious and gracious, but the air conditioning did not cool down the entire large front room area. The finish on the bathtub was peeling (about a 4 inch circumference in the middle of the tub). It was still a good place to stay in the best neighborhood in town. I would rate the hotel 3 1/2 stars. Score 5 out of 5 My review of Raphael Hotel Anonymous, 2005-06-06 We only stayed one night but were very satisfied with our stay. We had a suite that was very spacious. The beds were extremely comfortable with a lovely duvet and duvet cover. The staff was extremely helpful and we had prompt service when we requested extra blankets and water. It is an older building and possibly could use some updating in the bathroom. Otherwise, you can't beat the location which is located on the country club plaza. Score 5 out of 5 great location, small and personal.great business amenities Rochelle, Louisville, KY, 2005-06-05 The Raphael was a delight. It is on the National Historic Trust Register, therefore it is an older hotel, but it has been well maintained . Free hi speed internet was a plus and the staff very helpful. The location across from the Plaza cant be beat.I plan to stay there again Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, Kansas City, MO, 2005-05-28 No review provided by user Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, Washington, DC, 2005-05-13 No review provided by user |
