Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Friendly and Helpful Sally, St Louis, MO, 2006-09-10 Only 2 blocks from Farot Field (Football Stadium). Within walking distance of many dorms and Greek Town. Mexican restaurant on property. The Campus Inn was your typical budget motel. I was very impressed with the help. They were very friendly. The rooms were ok. They could use new matresses. They were a little uncomfortable. The location is great for football games. The motel is only 2 blocks from the stadium and close to many of the dorms and greek town. I chose this hotel for the price and location and I would stay there again. Score 3 out of 5 It had a bed. Anonymous, 2006-05-13 Close to UniversityOur first look at the exterior appearance of the motel left my wife and I wondering if we wanted to stay. It was in need of a lot of work. This was graduation weekend in a college town so we did not have many options. Once inside the the motel appeared clean, so we stayed. Our room was clean also but everything including towels and bedding were very worn. Our room was on the back but the parking lot was well lite and there was an entrance next to our room. The problem was that our card key would not open the door when we returned late after the graduation. Score 1 out of 5 Not for families Krista, 2006-05-07 Upon arriving at the campus in, we should have realized what we were in for. We chose to stay at this site due to the location. however, a bit of driving time would have definitly been worth it. There were holes in the wall, the carpet was laid out, but not cut to fit or anchored down. Light bulbs were burnt out, and our bathroom had not been cleaned. Beer boxes and trash were sitting outside of several rooms. Unfortunatly, the lack of cleanliness was not the worst part. Apparently there was a country music concert in town, and several people attending the concert chose to stay at the Campus Inn. They arrived back at the hotel at 11:30, and until 2:30 in the morning people were running up and down the hallways, yelling and screaming profanities. Between my husband and I, we called the front desk three times. the police came once, and the desk clerk came up, but nothing really seemed to calm them down. Overall, it was the worst travel experiance I have ever had. Score 1 out of 5 Terrible place Mary, 2006-05-07 The hotel was unsafe, dirty and very poorly maintaned. The clerk couldn't have cared less about the property damage going on in the room next door. I finally left and had to rent another room at another hotel. Score 5 out of 5 Concert Friendly dianna, Kansas City, MO, 2006-05-07 were there for Kenny CHesney only but the town seems friendlyThe campus in was comfortable for my friend and I. We were very pleased with the location and the friendly Front desk person. She was very helpful with directions for food and to the mu campus. I will be staying there again if I have need to be in Columbia in the future. Score 2 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-04-15 Score 4 out of 5 NOISY Robert, Armenia, 2005-08-16 If you are moving a student into Mizzou, the location is great. Location is right on the main road, so easy to locate and right down the road from shopping and food. The hotel was very conveniently located for the Mizzou campus, but was very noisy. There were a group of sorority girls running in the halls and screaming, laughing and talking loudly while those of us who had spent the whole day travelling were extremely tired. No one from the hotel asked them to quiet down, and finally a gentleman guest went out and firmly told them to shut up, and it was better. Otherwise it was okay. The staff were very nice. |
