Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Very Friendly Anonymous They do have a great Diamond Dave attached to the hotel - but also a Perkins across the street. Great place for foodI would recommend this hotel to anyone - it was quite easily to find and the staff was very helpful in information as it was our first time to Rochester and we had to go to the Mayo Clinic for test. However, do want to let them know that it is only about 1-mile walk from the Mayo Clinic to the hotel. Plus we did not get lost they gave us very good direction. And if we have to visit the Mayo Clinic again we will be staying here. Score 5 out of 5 Comfortable Anonymous, Boston, MA, 2006-12-10 The Travelodge met all the basic needs: large, comfortable room and bed, with clean bathroom. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was in a good area, about one mile away from The Mayo Clinic in Downtown Rochester, easily accessible if you rent a car. Score 4 out of 5 Great Location Anonymous, Fargo, ND, 2006-07-23 There is a Famous Dave's that is attached to the hotel and there is also a Perkins right across the street. This hotel has a great location to dining and Highway 52. It is attached to a Famous Dave's and right across the street from Perkins. There is also a grocery store nearby. The hotel it self had a pool and hot tub area that were clean and very relaxing along with and outdoor patio for sun-tanning. The only problem with the room was that the bathroom was on the small side but otherwise the room was spacious and the beds comfortable. Score 4 out of 5 great hotel christine, Philadelphia, PA, 2006-07-05 Famous Daves is connected to the hotel, just walk throught the lobby doors :)The staff was awesome. The hotel was clean and the pool was tons of fun. The only problem we had was that our room wasn't cleaned once the entire time we were there (3 days). We had to go to the front desk everyday to get clean towels, etc. They were very accomidating and apologetic about the situation. We really liked the fridge and microwave. We have a 4 month old baby and having them made life so much easier. Would recomend this hotel to anyone!!! Score 4 out of 5 Lots of fun! Kathryn, Minneapolis, MN, 2006-02-26 We used a taxi for our transportation and I didn't feel that any of the places were a very long drive.Lots of fun to be had here. This is my second time here and I love it. We will definently be back! Score 4 out of 5 Need to be more aware of their cleaning and their pool area. Jon, 2006-02-05 Famous Dave's is located in the hotel and was a convenience. After arriving at the hotel with some difficulty, we were able to check in promptly. The room appeared clean but upon closer inspection, it appears they do not commit a lot of time to deep cleaning. There was a fire hose area in the hallway that the glass was broke out of and there was still some glass in the box which could impose a danger to small children. We went to the pool where we found it was extremely cold and overfilled. There was, at a minimum, a foot higher than what was marked. The ONLY reason we went to the hotel was because of the swimming pool and our young son was unable to move from the steps. If the water level would have been correct he would have been able to swim and enjoy himself. Score 2 out of 5 okay .. Anita, 2005-07-14 I stayed here two nights. The first night the room was pretty run down but clean. The pool was nice and warm but the jets on the whirlpool were not very good. The second night I stayed - I had to take a COLD shower in the morning. NOT GOOD. Other than that- it was okay... Score 3 out of 5 My review of Travelodge Rochester MN Anonymous, 2005-06-08 this hotel was hard to find. i was told it was not too far off the highway, but it was. the directions given us were not real clear. the breakfast was not the greatest. the bathroom should be updated so it looks cleaner. Score 5 out of 5 very family friendly Adelfa, San Angelo, TX, 2005-06-06 I liked staying at the travelodge , the people were very nice , the rooms were big and very clean.I also like the dining options, and I liked the pool cause it stays open 24 hours I wish all the hotels would stay open 24 hours Sometimes a person gets to the hotel late and I am the kind of person that likes to get in the pool to relax after a long drive. Score 2 out of 5 You get what you pay for E., Minneapolis, MN, 2005-05-09 Room fine, Parking fine, The place looks and feels "Jerry Built". Complimentary breakfast is a joke. Shuttle service to Mayo Clinic very undependable(Had to take a cab back from Hospital in order to make next appointment. |
