Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Very efficient Anonymous Location was good from the airport and to several companies in the area. The Best Western Normandy Inn & City Place Suites, MINNEAPOLIS, MN was very comforable with lots of room. The location was convenient to get to. The check-in and help was efficient. Overall, the hotel was a good value. Score 4 out of 5 Good Spot for Business Anonymous, Chicago, IL, 2007-03-08 Downtown location gives access to good dining and activities. One could see that it is a step up from an ordinary hotel. Location was a bit less than secure in feeling but the security seemed to be good. Clean and nice appeal to the place inside. Score 4 out of 5 Pool facilities a treat Anonymous, 2007-02-11 Not sure where the nearest point to the skyway system is, so be sure to ask the front desk if the weather is bad.The Normandy is a comfortable place to stay, with spacious rooms at a good price. The pool, jacuzzi and suana, all located in a multi story atrium were a real treat. Score 4 out of 5 Good price and comfortable room Anonymous, San Francisco, CA, 2005-10-03 Metrodome is close by and light rail is super-close by.I stayed here for the Twin Cities Marathon - so this was a great location just a short jog to the start line (there are shuttles to bring you back to Minneapolis from St. Paul). There wasn't much food in the immediate neighborhood (especially on the weekend) but you can jump on light rail 1 stop to get to a lot of selection. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2005-10-03 Just walkScore 5 out of 5 Great ambiance Anonymous, Lincoln, NE, 2005-09-12 Metrodome was a short walk from the hotel. The Best Western Normandy Inn was very comfortable, the room seemed much larger than most other hotel rooms. I liked the fact they had a recliner in the room, so we could watch T.V. and not have to lay on the bed. The best feature was the Musak, which was played throughout the Hotel. The location was excellent, within a short walking distance to the Metrodome in Minneapolis. Score 2 out of 5 Complimentary parking... Charles, Long Beach, CA, 2005-08-21 This property is close (about 8-10 blocks) to Hennepin St where theatres, assorted dining options and nightclubs are abundant....was the best feature of this property. The HVAC system was antiquated and therefore the temperature was never comfortable. Perhaps I'm unclear on the current definition of a three star hotel, this rating seems undeserved. Score 5 out of 5 Great Convention Connection Cynthia, Tirana, 2005-08-17 Within walking distance from the Convention Center. Clean rooms, friendly environment, nice pool, exercise room, laundry facilities. Best part warm cookies and milk in the lounge in the evening. What a great concept. Score 2 out of 5 A Disappointment Anonymous, 2005-07-31 The News Room is a great place for dinner. It's located on Nicolet Mall. There are tables along the sidewalk for outdoor dining during the summertime. We arrived at the hotel late on a Wednesday evening and were told that the keyless entry system was not working so one of the desk clerks had to let us in our room. We were to check back around noon on Thursday to get our keys. Any time we went out and came back, we had to wait for someone from the front desk to let us back into our room. This went on until late on Friday when we finally got keys to our room. The most disappointing thing about this experience was that the staff didn't seem very concerned about the inconvenience this was to the guests. Score 5 out of 5 Never the Ligh Rail Ted, 2005-07-30 Light Rail connection for frequent and inexpensive connections to the airport. The Normandy benefits from being only three blocks from the Light Rail that connects frequently, quickly (less than half-hour travel time) and inexpensively ($2 during rush hour, $1.50 the rest of day) The hotel is only a short walk from attractions in downtown Minneapolis. It is a good value. The hotel's main drawback is the lack of places to eat within easy walking distance. The hotel serves breakfast but no other meals. |
