Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Motel for one night Jose, San Juan, PR This hotel is very close to Mall of America and the Saint Paul/ Minneapolis Int. Airport. There are other shopping sites around. This hotel doesn't compare with any other hotel I ever being. First the front desk staff was very nonprofessional. They were not friendly at all. There were no room to put me and my child's stuff. The room was too small, even for one person. I had problem with the room comfort and after taking some time arguing with the lady in the lobby she gave another room. Unfortunately that room was worst. Also I complain about the wireless Internet connection that never worked and she said that it was like this because the weather, but I said to her that from where I come from the weather was worst and the wireless hot spot always works perfect. They offer free breakfast but the only thing they have were coffee and sometimes cold and coffee cakes or muffins. At the end when was time to checkout the person who attend me said that I should let the room keys outside the lobby and he didn't give me any invoice or receive. Overall, this hotel or motel as it should be call was a bad decision. Not was what I expected after reviewing other choices around the area. Score 1 out of 5 Review Denise Score 1 out of 5 Not a Good Choice Anonymous Upon arrival, no hotel personel were available. There was a note stating they would return shortly. Standing there was an employee who spoke NO english. She couldn't communicate at all what was going on. I needed to check in as I needed to change clothes for an important meeting. The hotel lobby did not look very inviting. Rather in a disarray at that time. When I drove up, it almost looked like I was in a bad part of town, if you know what I mean. I guess I didn't like the over all looks of the grounds and the general upkeep of the property. Looked uninviting and almost scary. Frustrated for not being able to speak to anyone from the hotel, or communicated with the employee standing there, I decided to drive north to Coon Rapids where I have stayed. I ended up paying $200 more for my stay than I intended. But I figured I would feel comfortable and safe. Score 4 out of 5 My review of Travelodge Mall of America Bloomington Harold, 2006-11-12 The shower was broke and the water was cold. Score 2 out of 5 ok for just a place to sleep Anonymous, 2006-09-03 Mall of America is a mile awayTHe Travelodge, Mall of America Bloomington was not weel cared for. The room appeared clean but there were missing tiles, holes in the wall, etc. The pool was dirty and small. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The only reason I stayed was lack of availability in other hotels around the Mall of America. Score 5 out of 5 Good location Anonymous, 2006-07-05 The Mall of America was just down the street. The Travelodge was only a couple of blocks from the Mall of America, so it was very convenient to get there. Also, it was right off the highway, so it was easy to get other places as well. The room was very clean and tidy. The check-in and check-out was very simple and quick. Score 5 out of 5 Good Value Doris, Winnipeg, MB, 2006-06-25 Mall of America was just one exit over on the freeway which even during rush hour only took a few minutes. The Travelodge Mall of America Bloomington was a pleasant surprise for the price. The room was generously sized with good beds and we really liked the mini kitchen feature!! The bathroom was a quite tiny with the toilet and tub being separated by a door from the vanity. The door couldn't open all the way as it hit the tub and you had to stand between the tub and toilet to close the door from the inside. The vanity was also very small with only about 6" of counter on either side of a typical bathroom sink. It was very clean and the housekeeping staff was some of the quietest I have ever encountered!! With 4 adults staying in the room, a couple more chairs and a larger table would have been nice but not absolutely necessary. The location was very close to the freeway with well marked exits to the Mall of America and other areas of Minneapolis/St.Paul. Although there were no eating facilities at the hotel, there were numerous fast food choices and other restaurants close by. All in all, considering the price, this was a good place to stay!! Score 1 out of 5 below standard Anonymous, 2006-06-03 short distance to mall of americaI was dissatisfied with this establishment. While they seemed friendly they were not easy to talk to about the arrangements of the hotel. The inside and outside of the building was not kept up. There were not enough towels. Score 5 out of 5 Very Family Friendly Anonymous, Chicago, IL, 2006-04-21 The mall of america was greatI would like to say my stay was very great and I will be back. I really enjoyed room. Score 2 out of 5 My review of Travelodge Mall of America Bloomington Anonymous, 2006-04-17 Mall Of America was a mile a way. Walmart was down the street.I was dissappointed with the hotel that I choosed. When we arrived the room that was given to us, was very smelly. He had a odor from water damage. It was a clean room, but I could not stand the smell. I went back to the front desk to ask for a different room. I was given a better room and was actually given a upgraded room. I thought that was a nice service recovery. The location was not a good choice, but I did like the short driving distance to the Mall of America. |
