Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Family Friendly Bruce, Minneapolis, MN There is a huge mall a short drive from the hotel. The Ramada staff was very friendly when we checked in. They even gave us chocolate chip cookies which were very much appreciated after our long trip. The kids loved playing basketball in the pool and going down the water slide. My husband and I enjoyed being able to see the pool area while we worked out on the elliptical trainers. The breakfast is different than what I am used to. You eat in the restaurant and they bring the food to you, but it is included in the price of the room. The waitress appeared very haggard and tired, but the food was good. The hotel is now under new management and we found our accomodations to be very nice. The rooms are clean and well kept. Hotel and shuttle staff were the best. We will stay there again on our next trip to Rochester. Score 4 out of 5 high speed internet& handicap access Anonymous, 2007-02-27 The hotel was fine. I did notice they advertised highspeed internet but it was only in the lobby. I could not gain access from my room. I could not find handicap doors. All doors were manual. This made it somewhat difficult to get my Mom in and out with a wheel chair. A comfortable chair in the room would have been very nice Score 5 out of 5 love it~ Diane, 2007-02-23 There were a variety of stores, and eating places, just a short walk from the hotel. The food was good, both at the hotel, and surrounding area. There is also a gas station near by, to gas up, just before you hit the highway!I stayed at this hotel, due to the seminar that I attended there. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The one thing that I felt was great, was that it was smoke free...... The rooms were spacious, the bed was very comfortable. I felt fully rested for the seminar. It was also very close to shopping, and a variety of restaurants. I would highly recommend this to anyone! Score 5 out of 5 Like Family Monica, Norfolk, VA, 2007-02-02 Great shopping center across the highway from the hotel. You have to drive, but the shuttle service was great. We could not have asked for better service than we got at the Ramada in Rochester. Everyone was so kind and helpful, they were like family. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Score 5 out of 5 great support Janet, Memphis, TN, 2006-11-10 fairly nice mall with a couple of decent restaraunts nearby. Shuttle comes in handy for dingThe rooms were about what i've come to expect, although the beds were more comfortable than in some pricier ones I have stayed at. What impressed me as being above and beyond normal was the shuttle service. Not only were they there to take me to the Mayo Clinic but anywhere else I needed or wanted to go. We never had to wait very long for a ride. The two drivers that alternated while we were there were both freindly (one even took us on a more scenic route to show us some sites but still got us to the clinic in a timely fashion) and courteous. Even during a heavy snowfall, they got us to our destination safely when other drivers were leaving the road. They both earned high praise. Score 5 out of 5 Exceptional Service Anonymous, Syracuse, NY, 2006-06-29 Picking up any forgotten essentials was very convenient. The personal attention we received during our stay was wonderful. It made our visit to the Mayo Clinic as stress free as possible. The hotel amenities and closeness to shopping made picking up essentials very convenient. The shuttle service was wonderful. Score 4 out of 5 Minnesota Visit Michael, Atlanta, GA, 2006-04-16 there was a big mall less than a mile from the Ramada. The staff were very nice and helpful whenever I asked them for things. My only concern is that the air conditioner went out in our room for awhile and it got rather warm before the problem was fixed. Most of my family was staying on the second floor and when they checked in, the air didn't work at all. The rest of the visit and stay there was un-eventful, which is what I look for when I stay somewhere out of town. Score 2 out of 5 Open but closed. Anonymous, La Crosse, WI, 2006-03-29 Call ahead and check statues of hotel. The Ramada Inn boasts a kid friendly pool area. We live in the area and thought we'd take our kids for a night during spring break, well it happens to be the same week they closed the majority of the pool area for painting (which they did in the midle of the night and having a poolside room we didn't appretiate listening to the workers). There answer when we said we came for the pool, 'Well, we can ancel your reservation.' Not easy to do when you have excited children standing next to you. It seemed many other families were in the same boat as we were, checking in with young ones to use the 'kid friendly pool' to find out it was closed. The resturaunt also had limited hours and because of the maintenece work there were electrical cords zigzagging throughout the hall easy for anyone to trip on. Satff wasn't very accomidating considering inconviniences. |
