Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 family friendly Anonymous, Hartford, CT, 2006-09-05 There was a zoo nearby which was enjoyed by my granddaughter and family...also shopping was close by and utilized. The Days Inn was in a good location for our activities. The bathroom did not have a working fan...and there was no stopper for the bath tub for a bath. Other than that we were very pleased with our stay...they let us stay past our check out time...due to transportation problems... Score 1 out of 5 Obnoxious, two-faced threatening staff Kathryn, 2006-09-03 This was the most humiliating experience I have ever had, in my life!! BAR NONE. They are not pet friendly!! They threatened to kick me out of the hotel if I didnt come down to the desk, @ 11;00 at night, as I was already in bed, to sign a credit card slip to pay the 25.00 (surprise charge) so my pet could stay, even after I had stayed there two nights. They kept calling my room a number of times, demanding I come down at once. They would not let me rest. I was so stressed out after that, I could not even sleep. I had to get up early (6am) to leave for my event at the local fairgrounds. I am still fuming over this horrible experience. I will be writing a letter to Days Inn. I will be telling all my horse show friends and clubs never to stay at a Days Inn. The neighborhood was scary!! The room was noisy from traffic and major highway 500 feet above my head. The place needs to be leveled. The bathroom shower ceilings are falling in while you bath. The room was stuffy, and not very well ventilated. Score 4 out of 5 easy location Anonymous, 2006-08-21 There were many resturants near by.It was easy to get to and from the highway. Score 5 out of 5 Very good location Paul, Baltimore, MD, 2006-07-28 White Castle, Chinese Buffet, Mexican BUffet, Burger King, Ponderosa Staekhouse, Taco King, Bob Evans, Zeus's Restaurant.I did not have a car while I was at this location, and there were several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. There were all kinds of restaurants, like Ponderosa, Burger King, Taco King, there was a Mexican Buffet, a Chinese Buffet, a White Castle, and a Mexican restuarant/bar in the hotel. The bus stops just around the corner, which was convenient to get downtown. Great location!! The room had a large bed, I had cable, a/c, the bathroom was clean and well-kept. Score 4 out of 5 My review of Lansing Days Inn South Anonymous, 2006-06-27 Family friedlyGood location.Comfortable room and clean. Corridors could be cleaner. Family friendly. Internet wireless was not accessible from room, but worked nearer reception area. Score 1 out of 5 It was Filthy. Patti, 2006-05-07 The motel is in a great location with shopping, dining and movies. The Lansing Day's Inn was filthy there was feces in the toilet when we arrived the toilet was flushed but it was plugged. We called the front desk for assistance and requested a different room none were available so they sent up a janitor who was very unpleasant. The toilet was not the only problem it was obvious no one had cleaned the shower in quite some time soap scum was all over the tub and the walls and trim were full of mold. There was no plug in the sink there was a Bud Light cap in the drain. The ceiling in the bathroom and throughout the room had yellow stains all over it. The mattresses were horribly stained however the sheets and towels were clean. The table by the window was so dirty that when I put down a piece of paper it stuck. The motel menu was very dirty it too stuck to the table giving us a hint of what the restaurant might be like. Score 5 out of 5 Friendly service Teresita, 2006-04-22 Not far from the American and other International restaurants are shops; malls, theatres, zoo, and huge oriental stores. The oriental stores offer Asian foods from almost every Asian country... next door is a Malaysian Restaurant, with awesome dining! The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly from the moment we arrived. The cleaniness of our room made our stay very comfortable. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to dine or use their hotel amenities that were provided to hotel guests. The hotel's location was close to where we were able to meet our desirable places as new visitors. Again, the staff members assisted as concierce; very efficient and friendly! I recommend this hotel to those who are not familiar with the East Lansing area and just wanting to enjoy a weekend trip. The friendly service with its enjoyable accommodation and reasonable rate had made our weekend trip worthwhile. Score 2 out of 5 You get what you pay for Jody, Buffalo, NY, 2006-03-13 This hotel is definitely economical, but as the saying goes...."You get what you pay for." I guess you can't expect much for the price. The hotel is in desperate need of updating and remodeling. Score 2 out of 5 bare minimum Anonymous, 2005-12-18 close to Michigan State. The smoke from the bar enters the check-in area as you walk in. The room had many burn marks on the carpet and the bedspread. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. The breakfast was simply a donut and coffee with no other choices The parking lot was a solid sheet of ice, and was unsalted. We were pretty disappointed. Score 2 out of 5 Warm room and Bed Christopher, Pittsburgh, PA, 2005-11-20 Wendys and WHite Castle are accross the street with a grocery store about a block or two down the road.Lansing Days Inn is independently owned. The hotel is 'well used'. Most of the furniture in the hotel appeared to have been the original furniture that was purchased when the hotel first opened. Location was very close to the Michigan State University campus. Amenities: Only an outdoor pool fitness room is in a converted hotel room, not well marked Good hotel for poor college kids who are traveling to watch their team play at MSU |
