Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Reasonably comfortable Anonymous The Best Western Executive Plaza at Ann Arbor (2900 Jackson Rd)is located around 4 miles from Univ of Michigan -not as close as I expected. Has basic amenities, and the room (1 King bed) is a medium size one with a desk, a sofa and chairs is ok. Layout of the room is not great. Has iron and a ironing board which was in an ok condition (had some bad experiences in other places) Did not see any other restaurants nearby which is at a walking distance. Morning buffet I felt was very average. Score 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, Detroit, MI close drive to the Purple Rose theaterScore 4 out of 5 Very family friendly Anonymous, Lansing, MI, 2007-03-04 We enjoyed our stay, However we wished the hot tub and pool would had been open longer in the evenings. Score 1 out of 5 Broken Toilet & Bed Paul, Detroit, MI, 2006-10-06 We had a horrible stay at this hotel. The Toilet was broken! The pull out bed for son had a hole in it and hurt himself as he fell through the hole! The air conditioning did not function properly and our room was extremely warm at night. The staff was very rude and unresponsive to our difficulties. Needless to say I will not be staying at the Best Western again. Score 4 out of 5 Review JAMES, Newark, NJ, 2006-08-09 univ of michiganScore 1 out of 5 Bad experience Charles, 2006-03-19 Downtown Ann Arbor has lots of decent restaurants. The Hotel itself needed a fresh coat of paint and some cleaning on the outside. After returning to our room, we found that the room itself was open with the door cracked. Although our important items were locked in the room safe, our personal clothing and other items were left in an unlocked room. I left my wife alone in the room while visiting my father. Later that afternoon, a man was at the door knocking softly and hiding when my wife came to the door. She eventually sees a man with a hat pulled down on his face. She called the front desk and so did I, but there was no answer. I returned to th ehotel and cut my visit short. Later she reported the incident to the front desk. We did not feel secure and I could not leave my wife alone to visit family. The whole experience ruined our weekend trip!!!! Score 5 out of 5 Great for Families John, Detroit, MI, 2006-02-26 Great location, Short drive to Mall shopping, or Downtown Ann Arbor for dinning choices that would please all. This Best Western was a very pleasant experience. Large and roomy with Indoor and Outdoor pools. Great for families, and family reunions or any large gathering. The Conference Center and Large Banquet facilities would accomondate groups of 200 and more. Score 3 out of 5 Basics ok but not the amenities John, Tucson, AZ, 2005-12-04 During our December stay the Best Western Executive Plaza was just passable due to difficulties with several of the amenities. All exercise room equipment was out of order and the temperature of the pool was too cold. This turned our poolside room into a disadvantage. The friendly staff and location of the hotel made it a place I would stay at again when outdoor recreation would be available. Score 5 out of 5 Traditional Best Western Anonymous, Madison, WI, 2005-12-02 There is a shopping center less than a mile away. If you turn in front right of the shopping and keep going down that road for about a mile you come to some other stores, cafes, and restuarants that are all excellent. This Best Western was very comparable to other Best Western's I have stayed at. The room was good sized and very clean. The staff was a lot of help and they were enjoyable people to be around. The hotel seems to be on the out skirts of town, but when you drive into town, it really is not that far from the main drag. Score 4 out of 5 lost my reservation, but overall good catherine, Boston, MA, 2005-09-09 The University of Michigan at Ann Arbor is less than five minutes away.THe Best Western initially lost my reservation, so I spent twenty minutes waiting, but after they found it, they upgraded me to a suite. The room was very clean, very comfortable. I would stay there again, but I would call early to check if the reservation is still on file. |
