Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great location and marvelous views. Amy, New York, NY, 2006-10-29 The town is small but very charming.I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this to others. No complaints at all. Rooms were very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Score 5 out of 5 Fantastic location Paul, 2006-10-22 The Bluenose Inn is a short walk to downtown Bar Harbor and at the gateway to Acadia National Park. The Bar Harbor Bluenose Inn has a fantastic location overlooking the town and Frenchmen's Bay. A complimentary seated massage started our visit off right, easing away the tensions of the road. We stayed during the next-to-last weekend of the season, as the hotel and town were about to close for the season, yet the staff was still friendly and helpful, and most amenities in place. And a lot less crowds. Score 5 out of 5 Relaxing place in Bar Harbor Anonymous, 2006-10-21 Acadia National Park is a very short drive from the hotel. This lovely hotel high atop a hill overlooking the island dotted Maine coast was a lovely stop in the Bar Harbor area. It is very close to Acadia National Park as well as to the lovely little shop laden streets of the town. The hotel offered a comfortable place to settle in after a day of sight-seeing, with all the amenities, including warm robes and nice toiletries, in-house coffee, etc. The hotel staff was very friendly and ready to offer any help or service. The hotel lobby and lounge area was tastefully decorated and the music of a pianist in the evening was an added inducement to spend some time relaxing there. Off-season rates in October made this a very fine place to stay at a reasonable rate. Score 4 out of 5 Nice Place to Stay Brian, Newark, NJ, 2006-10-18 Just a couple of minutes from Acadia and Bar Harbor. Highly recommend eating at the Parkside in Bar Harbor. My wife and I had a very nice stay here. The room was a pretty good size, and the location was great, as it is only a couple minutes from the main part of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The only problem we had was with the high speed Internet where there was supposed to be a free connection, but it wa snt working in our room, so we had to walk across the property to the lobby to use their computer, until we finally were contacted by the manager, who was great, and fixed the issue. Unfortunately, this took 3 days to finally get someone to pay attention to this issue, but once this issue was resolved, the rest of our stay was extremely pleasant. Score 5 out of 5 Very friendly and helpful staff Valerie, New York, NY, 2006-07-29 Main street was just a short drive away. If you preferred to walk you could just bring a good pair of walking shoes. Cute shops, lots of places to eat and also whale watching tours!!The staff at the Bluenose Inn were very accomodating. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff. Our room was not ready upon arrival but the staff assured us it would be right away and it was. The hotel was a short distance from town, which was adorable. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay here again. Score 5 out of 5 hotel worth the price Anonymous, Minneapolis, MN, 2006-07-28 Bar Harbor- Bluenose Inn was the upscale hotel that we were seeking. Very comfortable room with balcony and great view. The bathroom was huge with 2 sink and roomy counter with makeup chair. Large closet and good drawer space. Close location to downtown Bar Harbor but a tough uphill climb to the hotel if one wishes to walk. Good service and staff attentive to your needs. All of the facilities were in excellent condition. Score 5 out of 5 Nice simple clean hotel with a great pool & restaurant Anonymous, New York, NY, 2006-05-30 Arcadia State park entrace was a short drive awayThe rooms were simple and clean with a comfortable bed. Score 5 out of 5 Bar Harbor 2006 Frank, Boston, MA, 2006-05-29 Several nice shops nearby with great variety of products. There are also several decent but not over the top restaurants within a 10 minute walk.Great hotel, very nicely located and offers sevral great restaurants. Staff are very friendly and know what they are doing. There are however many foreign stafff memebers that do not know too much about the area. The rooms were very nice and well furnished. Overall a great experience. Score 5 out of 5 Very friendly and classey Anonymous, Philadelphia, PA, 2006-04-28 Arcadia National Park entrance is a few yards from the hotel. Beautiful drive and beautiful view. The Bar Harbor Hotel Bluenose was very comfortable, the room was larger than most. I loved the fireplace and livingroom area and the GREAT view from our balcony of Frenchman's Bay. I liked the fact that the bathroom was separate from the vanity area and there were two sinks and a stool to sit at to put on makeup. The location was great, right next to Arcadia National Park and a short distance from the small town. The inside swimming pool and work out room were across the parking lot and was nicely stocked with towels. The restaurant was not open yet (our trip was one week short of the opening of the new season). I would recommend this hotel to everyone. |
