Even though the Historic Tidewater Inn is only a short trip from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD, its relaxing atmosphere seems worlds away from city life. You will feel right at home in our cozy accommodations and immediately understand why the Inn has been a town favorite for nearly 60 years. We invite you to choose from our selection of guest rooms and suites. All of our rooms are beautifully furnished and designed to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. Our rooms feature Calvin Klein robes and 100% Egyptian cotton terry in the bath. We look forward to extending you the gracious hospitality that we are known for here on the Eastern Shore and hope to see you soon.
Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Friendly staff Anonymous, Washington, DC, 2007-03-04 There are cute shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Unfortunately, there's not much of a nightlife after dinner... but you go to get away from all that anyway. The staff at the Tidewater Inn is very friendly. They're always ready with a smile, and when I got to my room, there was a hand-written note from the manager welcoming me to the inn. The hotel itself is pretty, but aging a little. I think they're working on upgrading it though. My room was above the lobby and I heard clanking from pipes almost all night. But other than that, I found the place charming and cute. I'd definitely go again (but I wouldn't stay on the second floor). Score 4 out of 5 My review of Tidewater Inn cynthia, Las Vegas, NV, 2006-02-26 Ok value for the money. Historic hotel in historic district of Easton. Staff was extremly friendly. However, the room was extremly small. Plumbing needs serious work. Leaky shower faucet scalded us with rust tinged water. Heating system needs attention. It was so hot the first night, I couldn't sleep. With the help of hotel staff, we were able to open the window for the second night but had to use a phone book to keep it open. Unlike most hotels these days, no hair dryer is provided. It is my understanding that the new owners will be making a substatial investment in upgrading the hotel. I look forward to staying at the Tidewater again once the improvments are made. The "public rooms" were fairly nice, but the rooms above the first floor were shabby, dirty and very warm becasue the air conditioning did not work throughout the hotel. The staff was irritable and seemed to be annoyed when asked for information. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone. |
