Welcome to the Best Western New Englander, a full-service hotel nine miles north of downtown Boston at Exit 36 off Interstate 93, one mile south of Interstate 95. We offer free parking and shuttle service to Anderson Commuter Rail Station with service to downtown Boston in 20 minutes, arriving at North Station and the TD Banknorth Garden. The Best Western New Englander has very reasonable and friendly room service, as well as a popular sports bar with 10 flat screen TV's and wrap-around bar. We offer free continental breakfast in our restaurant, free HBO and morning newspapers, free email access at our lobby business center, an indoor pool and fitness center. For meetings, the Best Western New Englander offers 4,200 square feet of stately meeting space, comprising of two ballrooms and an executive boardroom. Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 A rough start Tamara, Dayton, OH The hotel looked great and we had late check in so arrived about midnight. We were sent up to the 3rd floor to room 319 but when we went in, the bathroom was dirty. Someone had taken a shower and it had not been cleaned (towels on floor and sink etc.) We suspect that the maintenance or remodeling people may have taken a shower... anyway, then we went back down and they appoligized and gave us a first floor room which was great. Arriving late, we just went to bed. The next morning we discovered that we had no shower curtain. We called the front desk and were told that we would need to change rooms. We were not happy about a 2nd room change and asked if they could just give us a curtain out of another room. No, couldn't do that because they wouldn't be able to sell the other room????? They gave me new keys to another room to check and when I did that my husband just took the curtain to our room and I told them that we had moved it and would stay in our room. The manager probably didn't like it but hey, they sold me a room without a shower curtain. Then late that night on arriving from Boston, neither of our door keys would work and we had to go get them re-done. So after all that the room was great, breakfast was pretty good and it was close enough to Boston that we were able to sightsee without too much travel time. The room was nice and roomy and the hotel offered many amenities. I would reserve a room there again. It is a perfect stay for couples on the go. Quick jump to Boston or just a quiet night together after a great dinner at Spuds... it's perfect. Another one is high end italian (it was very good)I was staying for only one night but it would be a good spot to stay if you had activities in Boston and didn't want to stay in town. There were three different dining options within walking distance. The hotel is right off the highway. The staff was super friendly. The only problem we had was the toilet was running all the time. Downtown Boston is great for the out of town couple who want to do some sightseeing!The Best Western was very comfortable and not to mention affordable. I was a bit dissastified with the location of the hotel and view. The view was of a parking lot and not much other scenary around. It's located a bit off the main road in the back so there is not much to see. On the other hand, I had a quiet and comfortable stay. The room was clean but could have used a bit of air freshner, as there was a rather stale smell in the air. I requested fresh towels/linen and it never came, I instead had to go find the maid to get it myself. Besides this very minor issue, the food was great. I loved the free continental breakfast and overall my stay was pleasant. For those who don't care much about the view, this one is for you. Again, good value for the money! Score 5 out of 5 Well Worth It! Carol, Boston, MA, 2006-11-13 The Burlington Mall is just a few exits down on Route 128 South. This mall has all that you need. And there are many restaurants just outside it on Route 3.The Best Western, Woburn, MA was very accomodating and we had two young children with us at the time. Check-in was easy, the hotel and the room were very clean and the restaurant SPUDS which offered a free breakfast was very good. We had a great waitress and the check in clerk at the hotel was very pleasant, not only to us but to everyone that needed her assistance. We would stay there again in an instance as there were so many stores and a big mall just a few exits down on the highway. It was a great location. |
