Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-11-25 it is located in the Provincetown centerScore 5 out of 5 Great value, location Esther, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-09-30 The Lobster Pot's narrow entrance doesn't immediately tell you that you can walk through and dine al fresco in a veranda overlooking the sea and the MacMillan Pier. Had their famous Tim's Clam Chowder and the Lobster Ravioli. Fabulous! Also, inexpensive souvenir shopping nearby. The address was easy to find, but where to check-in took a little figuring out. However, it has a great location: right in the heart of Provincetown, walking distance to the MacMillan Pier, dining, shopping and art galleries. The room was not large, but very clean, had the essentials and smelled good. They provided a good supply of white fluffy towels, better than some larger hotels I've seen. There is a bar in the same building but the noise insulation was adequate and we still got a good night's sleep. Score 5 out of 5 Dear friends, Sjoerd, 2006-09-28 For internet you can go to the Public Library near by.The Pilgrim House is a good guesthouse. Room is excellent. Locatin very central. I was welcomed very friendly. There are no breakfast facilities. In the morning you are on your own, no staff at all. Pilgrim House is above a nightclub Vixen, but I haven't heard any noise. Score 4 out of 5 good location Anonymous, Fall River, MA, 2006-07-15 shopping is inexpensivevery good location, right in the middle of everything, room pretty modern and clean, but if and wene you want or need anything there is no one around. has no amenities, like pool hair dryer, mini fridge, lots of shops and restaurants around, and beach near by, would recommend to a friend. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2005-09-25 Shopping, dining, entertainmentScore 1 out of 5 Failed to have our room available Anonymous, Boston, MA, 2005-09-11 The hotel informed us that they had no room for us at 9:30 PM when we arrived. They offered no apologies. They had made arrangements for us to get a room at an alternative motel that had no amenities and was outside the town; told that they were awaiting our arrival. After finding our way to the hotel, they were closed and we couldn't get anyone to answer the night bell. Since we had no phone # we drove back to Pilgrim House - long story short, the motel manager had been out for a walk. It was almost 10:30 PM when we got back to the alternate motel & got our room. Although I have stayed at Pilgrim House several earlier times, I will never even attempt to use them again based on their pathetic unapolegetic response. We had particularly selected them because it was within the town center & I had a broken foot & wanted to be in town and not have to walk great distances. Score 1 out of 5 Horrible Experience Anonymous, Newark, NJ, 2005-09-10 We were arriving late, so I left a message at the hotel. When we arrived around 11PM, we had to check in with one of the bartenders on the ground level. The bartender stated that he had no rooms. He stated that there was a hotel down the street that was more expensive that might have rooms available. I began to argue with him, and he said he was too busy to deal with me, and tried to leave. We did not leave, and he finally called to reserve another room at a hotel outside the city, but he stated that I would have to pay for it. He then denied he had a reservation for me. When we stated we called the hotel earlier that night, he checked his messages and only then did he offer to pay for the room at the other hotel while he charged us the rate at his hotel. The incident put a damper on the weekend trip and placed us far from the city. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, mainly for its service. Score 5 out of 5 Pleasant stay Kevin, Hartford, CT, 2005-08-14 Very close to shopping and great restaurants...within walking distance to all.Very pleasant stay, rooms were very clean, quiet and the staff was very friendly/accomodating. |
