If you call going 30 miles a short drive then the best thing would be to go to the christmas tree shop in hyannis. the one in orleans was far too small and not worth it.

they took forever in getting the room done. i wouldn't say the beds were very comfortable. when asked on the sights to go see they sent us to a place that was a good 45 minute drive away and was boring. and run down. would never go where they suggested again. Supposedly they were to serve a contental breakfast...there was no such thing. they were closed till 11 on saturday. they suggested a place to eat that wasn't even open. we were told that the shop we wanted to go to wasn't good when in fact it was the one we really liked. Overall the stay was extremely unsatisfying. and as this was our belated honeymoon, by 6 yrs, it was a real disaster.

Last Minute Get-away to the Cape

The location was perfect in Eastham. They supplied us with bikes for a bikeride on the path behing the motel which ran along the national seashore. The beds were a little uncomfortable, but the room was spacious and came with a fridge.

Beaches within a few miles. Restaurants nearby. Salt Pond Visitor Center a few miles.

The front desk person went out of their way to allow my wife and I to check in earlier than the established time. The room was clean and spacious with fridge. The continental breakfast was way above that which I have experienced in the past (muffins, fruit, bagels and excellent coffee). Also available were free bicycles for use on the Cape bike trail which ran adjacent to the motel property. All in all, I was very pleased with my entire stay at The Captain's Quarters. I will certainly recommend it to my friends and family and will return again when in the area. A good value, fair price and superior hospitality.

Cinema, Drive-In, Restaurant, Beaches, ect.......

Captain Quarters was a very nice motel, very clean & quiet. We loved the idea when we came in for the night that we had popcorn waiting for us at the desk, that was a treat. It's close to all the beaches & some really nice Restaurants, Drive-in & Cinenas.
