Upon entering the room we discovered that the sink was stopped up and wouldn't drain. The clerk came right away and tried to fix it, even though it was past midnight. It never did drain properly. The place needed a thorough deep-cleaning. It appeared that it was vacuumed every day and the towels were changed every day, (one day we got only one hand towel, instead of two), but the carpet needed cleaning and there was a cigarette burn hole in the bedspread. There was a dirt build-up in the corners of the bathroom floor that needed to be cleaned up. When we checked in, there was what could have been a drop of dried blood running down the side of the bathtub. At first we thought it was some kind of stain, but it washed right off with a wet wash rag. Gross! The fact that the bathtub had been painted and the paint was chipping off was a big turn-off. There are no non-smoking rooms at this motel, so our clothes absorbed the smell. We could shower off the smell, but had to wear smelly clothes all day. There is a 50's diner across the street where the food and service were excellent! Score 4 out of 5 Good deal for a short business trip Deborah, Boston, MA, 2005-12-16 If you like MacDonalds, it's right there. We needed a motel to stay for one night, at short notice and were very surprised to find this motel so convenient. Actually we started looking for a place to spend the night at 7:30 pm, and by 11 pm the same night, we already checked in. Score 2 out of 5 We got what we paid for Anonymous, 2005-10-22 Not enough towels; bathrooms were not very clean; not enough power outlets to power up telephones, laptop, etc. We got what we paid for, I guess. Score 1 out of 5 Horrible adam, New York, NY, 2005-09-04 The Motel 6 Springfield/Chicopee was the lowest I have seen to date. Curtains were broken allowing people from the street to look in, a/c had one temperature; due to missing knobs, smoke detector was hanging from the wall by wires, towels had paint on them, rug was stained, phone cord was broke, and overall was not a nice place to be. I did not end up staying at this property. Score 5 out of 5 convenient motel Gary, 2005-08-25 Six Flags New England was a short drive away, as was shopping centers and eateries. The Motel 6 in Chicopee Ma. was convenient and was a great value for a family. It was right off the Mass. Turnpike, the staff was friendly, and the room was comfortable. I would recommend this motel to my friends.
