Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great Romantic Getaway Shiloe, El Paso, TX, 2006-12-15 there was a nice downtown area (Brookline) available close by with shops and restaurants.Unfortunately I was at the Samuel Sewall Inn on business so my spouse couldn't make it, but I would definitely make it a nice weekend getaway with him next time. My room (but not all rooms) had a fireplace and private bathroom. There was turn down service and snacks available in the lobby at all times. In the early morning, there was continental breakfast, but I was told that mid-morning, there was a full hot breakfast available. My overall stay was wonderful. I'd say the only downside, but typical of large city hotels, was that parking was $15. Score 5 out of 5 charm and great neighborhood Anonymous, Baltimore, MD, 2006-05-02 Samuel Sewall Inn is in quiet neighborhood right off Beacon Street in Brookline. Staff was very friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable and I got a great night's sleep. The only down side was a peculiar smell in the bathroom. I think it's the cleaner they used, but it was very strange. Score 5 out of 5 A Converted Victorian Mansion Robert, Boston, MA, 2005-12-09 Beacon Street with its many shops and restaurants is only one short block from this hotel. The Samuel Sewall Inn was just lovely. You might easily think of it as a B&B. The bed was super comfortable. The room temperature was initially a little too cool for me, but then I discovered an electric heater in the closet which warmed me up just fine. The sumptuous breakfast buffet was fantastic. I needed to leave my car in their parking lot until well past check out time, and my need was accomodated with a smile. I WILL stay in this hotel (or B&B) again, and I give it my heartiest recommendation. By the way, the price was remarkably low for this wonderful accomodation.
