Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Perfect for short visit, very friendly and comfortable Brian we had a queen size bed for two people, television, bathtub, closet, drawers and telephone are also provided. The room is pretty clean and neat, and the neighbor is pretty quiet. we had a walk at night right down the Beacon street and the only people passed us are late-night joggers. The shops and restaurants are just down the street - perfect for short visit to Boston (shopping, dinning, sightseeing, etc) There is a subway station right in front of the hotel gate, and it took us about 20 minutes to go to downtown Boston. Score 5 out of 5 Very Good Bargain Anonymous, Baltimore, MD Very close to Boston university.Good Hotel for the price. The hotel was better than other high priced rate hotels in Boston area. Score 5 out of 5 T his is a very nice hotel, loved the decor, and felt safe at night Karen, Memphis, TN, 2007-03-05 There was alot of places to choose from to eat and the transportion on the T line came right to the hotel. This hotel was very nice, felt really safe at night the doors were locked at 8:00 pm and only the guest could enter with there keys. Loved the decor and everyone was very friendly. Great location. Score 5 out of 5 Great Place for the price Glenn, Durham/Raleigh, NC, 2007-03-02 There is a small pizza place just down the street that has great food and a cozy environment. The Brookline Inn was a great place. It was comfortable, clean and the room was larger than was expected. The only draw back to the room was that the bathroom was very small and it only had a small shower stall. We were awakened around 1:00am to the sound of someone banging on pipes. Other than those two things, our stay was pleasant. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood, the train/subway runs right in front on the hotel, and the room was fine. I'm not sure that it was air-conditioned, so summer may not be the best time to stay there, but it was perfect for October. Score 3 out of 5 friendly ernest, 2006-07-02 THere are quite a few good restaurants in the neighborhoodThis is a friendly and pleasant Inn, but on the first night our room was in the attic and was quite unsatisfactory. We had a regular room for the second night, which was much, much better. Score 5 out of 5 Enjoyable Scott, Des Moines, IA, 2006-03-11 I really enjoyed my stay at the Beacon Inn. Staff was very courteous and friendly. The rooms were very nice and love the king size beds. Perfect place to stay to see the sights of Boston. Just a short walk to a T stop which is the best way to get around Boston. Score 1 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-02-24 No review provided by user Score 2 out of 5 Charming, but not a great inn Anonymous, 2006-02-20 Vinny T's is a lively Italian restaurant just down the road where we had a great meal -- tons of food for the money. The Beacon Inn 1750 was mediocre in its service. I wouldn't stay there again. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean, but the radiator was very loud all night, the door to the room would stay shut only when locked, and the door to bathroom did not close. There were no coffee cups or coffee available for the continental breakfast and no one was available at the desk to answer questions or handle issues after 9 pm and before 10 am. The people were nice enough, but we didn't see them much and we had the feeling that if we needed anything, we would have no idea where to go to find it. |
