Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Very Budget Oriented Holly, New York, NY Beacon Inn has close location to all of Boston's attractions. Short subway(railway) ride of 5 to 15 minutes for all of BostonThe Beacon Inn in Boston has one outstanding thing-----Location. It was right across from the subway(Rail-Car) Stop, and only 4 or 5 stops to central Boston. The hotel room we purchased was fine, small, but clean. The only detraction was that I was under the impression there would be a bathroom in our room. We had a walk-in closet instead of a bathroom and we had to walk down the hall to shower and use the bathroom. This hotel was very quiet and quaint, great location and many options for delivery of many different types of food in the area. Bagels and Muffins with coffee in the morning. Score 5 out of 5 Great bed and breakfast Anonymous, Wilkes-Barre, PA The Beacon Inn is in a great neighborhood. Very convenient to the "T", a grocery store and neighborhood restaurants. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with directions and information. I would definitely stay here again. The room is a converted living room and the door way is not soundproofed. In addition you enter your room through a bathroom. The price was right but the features unsatisfactory. Score 4 out of 5 Comfortable Anonymous, 2006-07-30 Vinny T's resteraunt. Delicious and affordable. This hotel was comfortable to stay in, nothing fancy just very home like. They have two locations and we were moved from one to the other after the first night we were there, which was an inconvienience, and the parking is tight, but considering it is in the heart of Boston I guess it is par for the course. Overall it was nice and comfortable. Score 3 out of 5 Student Special Cynthia, 2006-06-29 It was easy to jump on the Green Line that stopped just outside of the door and go into town to see Fanueil Hall and the Harbor.Beacon Inn is very well located and easy to reach on the Green Line train. The staff consisted of one student who told me there was a rowdy group occupying the whole rest of the house and then disappeared. If I had needed help there would have been no one to ask. The bathroom for my room was in the hall. Some of the ceiling tiles were caving in. I think it would be a good place to go if you were looking for a job in the city or checking out a school. Perhaps the other rooms were less closet-like. Oh, and don't go here if you have trouble getting up stairs. There is no elevator. Score 5 out of 5 Great place to stay Martin, 2006-05-22 Great location and lovely room. Hotel kept up beautifully. Would be very happy to return to Beacon Inn 1087!! |
