The Boston South - Braintree Motel 6 is adjacent to the subway train station and offers a coin laundry facility. The location is also within 10 minutes of the University of Massachusetts, the JFK Library and Boston New England Aquarium.
Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Very Convenient Location michael, Baltimore, MD There is both an Outback Steakhouse and a Hilltop Steakhouse within a reasonable walk from the hotelThe Braintree Motel 6 is very conveniently located off of Route 3 in Braintree MA. It is situated across the street from a T (subway) station with a direct route into Boston. By car, it is convenient to most places in the South Shore of Boston. My room was clean. The hotel was a good value for the price. Score 4 out of 5 Good for the Price Anonymous, Boston, MA, 2006-11-01 Chili's Hilltop Steakhouse Marshalls for shoppingGood hotel for price. First time stay, easy to find close to food and other shops. WOuld recommend bringing a Iron, since they don't provide and your won Linens. The ones were had in the room were not the most sanitary. Score 5 out of 5 Convenient to the T Elmer, Brunswick, GA, 2006-10-29 Just a short walk to stores such as Borders, Best Buy and much moreIt was an affordable and comfortable stay. This was my first time to the Boston area and the staff was very helpful. There's not much in the way of dining if you are walking (Chili's and Hilltop Steakhouse)but there is a plaza across the road with plenty of shopping. Best of all the subway is directly across the street so public transportation is at your fingertips. The room was quiet and clean. I would most certainly stay here again. Score 5 out of 5 If you need a cheap place Karl, 2006-10-12 You can pick up an MBTA weekly pass for $18.50, which is advisable because you get unlimited access Sunday through Friday to unlimited travel on the subway system in Boston, which is very good and the oldest in this countryThe Motel itself is very basic with little business advantage. The room was clean and convenient. There are some food facilities within 5-10 minutes walking distance. I recommend this Motel only for the budget conscious traveler needing a rock bottom price for accomodations per night. Score 4 out of 5 Conveniently Located to Downtown thomas, Philadelphia, PA, 2006-10-09 easy access to trains; 20 minutes from downtown. The Motel 6 was conveniently located and provided easy access to public transportation. I LOVED that it was located right across the street from the Train station but was disappointed that there were not at least one restaurant or convenience store closer to the Motel. I felt very uncomfortable walking along the thoroughfare to reach the eating establishments a few miles away. The room was clean and the cleaning staff was very friendly. While on their way in to work, two of the staff even walked me from the train station to show me the easiest route to the Motel. The front desk staff was a little quirky however. Upon checkin, the woman was having some personal problems with her teenage daughter, as evidenced in her irrate phone conversation during which she used no discretion, and her mood was interjected onto me. I tried to be understanding since I raised teenagers myself. That evening the lady at the front desk was much more pleasant. HOWEVER, the young girl working the desk on Sunday evening was horrible. I came in to get a cup and she verbally attacked me as if I was a thief. I quickly let her know that I was not the one to take that kind of unprofessionalism and asked for the managers information. Everything else was without incident. Score 5 out of 5 Good Value For The Money Anonymous, 2006-08-29 Very nice restaurant short distance from the motel in a mall setting. Service was great and meal was delicious!Motel was clean and centrally located. Disappointed that it did not have a restaurant. Looks like a restaurant was on the site but was not in operation any longer. Motel was close to other restaurants. Score 5 out of 5 Great Motel Prince, 2006-07-29 Next to T subway station, Best Buy, Borders, and shopping centers. About 15 minutes walk. It's a great place to stay, right next to the T subway, and a short walk to shopping centers. Rooms are cleaned and kept well, service is friendly. Don't expect too many amenities because after all, its a motel, and if you need a place to stay around Boston close to the T, and don't want to pay the high prices of Boston hotels, this is a great place. I would stay there again because other area lodges are just too expensive on my budget located in a nice, friendly neighborhood, the police even stopped the traffic so that I can cross the road.
