Built in 1805, St. Peter House invites you to step back in time with its old world charm. This historic property offers tropical courtyards and iron lace balconies, and each room has its own individual character. Our rooms have been renovated this year to include down comforters, feather pillows, and updated bathrooms. Some rooms are furnished with antiques, some with canopy beds, others open to a courtyard or balcony. Our continental breakfast is just enough to start your day. St. Peter House is located just 2 blocks from Bourbon Street and 4 Blocks from Jackson Square, yet in a more residential section of the French Quarter. World famous restaurants, attractions, and entertainment are just steps away. Tour arrangements to visit swamps or plantations may be made with our staff, and you will be picked up right at our front door. There is always something to see and do, for everyone's tastes and budget.
Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Best value and excellent location Richard, Miami, FL St.Peter House was clean and comfortable. You can't beat the location and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this Inn to anyone who is looking for comfortable accomodations in a great location at an inexpensive rate. If you're looking for a full service hotel this is not for you. All in all a great value. Score 4 out of 5 Quiet Guest House but close to Bourbon St sharon, 2007-02-26 It's New Orleans, there is a restaurant on every corner. I ate at K-Pauls my first night and the coffee and beignets at the Cafe du Monde on Decater are to die for. Absolutely the best food in the US.I've never stayed at a House that was on the National Register of Historic Houses before. It was very close to Bourbon St. but far enough away 2 blocks at Burgundy & St. Peter to be out of the madness. A nice walk short walk to Jackson Square to enjoy the shops, restaurants and ambiance the Quarter is so famous for. I loved my stay and I love New Orleans. I will certainly going back to visit for my 4th time soon. Score 5 out of 5 Great location gwen, Kansas City, MO, 2006-12-03 ask about parking. French Quarter in New Orleans is very slim on parking. There is parking just ask.Our first room we a little problem, but they put us in the KING Suite and we were very comfortable, the rooms were large and very quite. We were in walking distance of most all things to do in New Orleans. We enjoyed the hotel very much. Score 3 out of 5 Good location Anonymous, Philadelphia, PA, 2006-10-02 The food in New Orleans is great!!!!The St. Peter House Hotel has a great location in the French Quarter. It was walking distance to restaurants and shops. The hotel is undergoing renovations. My room was lacking a towel bar and a place to place my toiletries. The overnight hotel staff had quit, but that did not affect me. Entry at night was through a courtyard door which was locked at night- I was given a key. All of the rooms open to the outside. There was no elevator, so lugging my suitcases to my room on the second floor was a bit difficult. Score 4 out of 5 In the french quarter Anonymous, Dothan, AL, 2006-05-29 close to all attraction in the french quarter.the Saint Peter hotel was conviniently located and reasonably priced. the room had been recently remodeled in an appealing mixture of antique and contemporary items but was exeedingly small and lacking even a chair to sit.The tile floor and bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned and no towelrack was available. Also no room service was offered to make bed and pick up trash. Bourbon street was just 2 blocks away for all the nightlife you could take in.The staff was very helpful. The rooms were well maintained. This hotel waqs very conveinent to area attractions. Score 4 out of 5 St. Peter Hotel New Orleans Nancy, 2005-07-16 I was a resident of New Orleans for 2 years and the St. Peter reflects the "French Quarter" experience. You have to be adventurous enough to find food and drink on your own, however. There is a "continental" breakfast, but after that, you are forced to leave the facility for any other food you want. Score 1 out of 5 Great City bad hotel Anonymous, Oakland, CA, 2005-07-05 This hotel is located just 2 blocks form Burbon street in the french quarter. The property is old and falling apart. We were given a room on the second floor. the balcony and walkway are unsteady. The room was extremely small. there was no closet the dressers in the room were falling apart. We asked for another room. We were given one on the first floor which was a little larger. Atleast the dresser a bottoms in the drawers. The beds were covered in plastic the flat sheets were undone when we truned down the bed. The floors needed clearing. I will never stay in this hotel again. I can not believe that your company has this hotel on it's website. We left early and paid for another hotel. We are planning another trip to Italy in October I do not feel we can trust your website to provide us with good choices. Score 3 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2005-06-26 No review provided by user |
