Most music and dance places close at 4 a.m. -- so leave enough time for check out at 11 a.m.!The Queen & Crescent Hotel Clarion Collection was located in a very central part of NOLA. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel had charm and was pleasant to be in. The staff was helpful. The valet parking was a great plus in this busy part of town. Score 5 out of 5 Value for your money Tyaisha, Baltimore, MD, 2007-03-05 The hotel is in a great location, just blocks away from all the action. Walking distance to Riverwalk and Bourbon Street. Rooms were clean nd comfortable. Valet parking was a bit slow in the mornings. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Score 5 out of 5 great value jeffrey, New Orleans, LA, 2007-03-04 Walking distance or quick cab to the French Quarter half the price of French Quarter hotels.Good deal for the price. Convienent location just outside the French Quarter. I am a local and have stayed here before and will stay here again! Score 5 out of 5 Fantastic for a first time visitor to New Orleans Angela, 2007-02-24 Just a short walk away is the beautiful French Quarter, where you will find many small boutiques, and interesting one of a kind souvenirs. There are plenty of placeds to eat and almost no fast food joints in the quarter. There is a beautiful park. The Queen and Crescent hotel is a fabulous place to stay. It's in a central location, walking distance to many of New Orleans hot spots. The room was large, the beds sooooo comfortable, and the housekeeping staff superb. The front desk staff really outdid themselves. They were all friedly and very efficient, helping with directions, able to book tours for us, and give honest opinions about where to eat and what to not miss. I would definatly stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone who will be visiting New Orleans. However, the rooms are so poorly insulated for sound in the annex that you feel like you are trying to sleep on a porch open to both your adjacent neighbors and the street below. I have to say that my stay was made worse by neighbors who wanted to begin their day at 11pm and stayed loud all through the night. I was awakened multiple times through the night - and I'm a deep sleeper. Score 4 out of 5 good value Anonymous, 2006-10-02 5 blocksGood value for your money. No food on site, but within walking distance of very nice restaurants. security at second building questionable, we walked in as another guest walked out. made us wonder how often that happens. Score 4 out of 5 Great Staff Garrett, 2006-07-08 Bourbon was about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. But on our way, my friend had told us about Pere Antoine's. It is a great little restaurant behind the Cathedral. It had a great selection especially it's blackened menu items. The hotel had a great staff and really helped us. However, I didn't like that we did not stay in the same building as the front desk. If your room had a queen size bed you stayed next door where there was no front desk. I also did not think that valet should have cost $30. A little ridiculous if you ask me. |
