After a busy day of exploring the French Quarter and touring our beautiful city, return home to your cozy bedroom at A Creole House Hotel. You'll find an authentic New Orleans flavor with a friendly, local touch. Each room at A Creole house has its own individual character - some are decorated with period style furnishings, while others are furnished in a more contemporary style. Some have high ceilings and mantels, while others have cozy attic dormer ceilings. Some guestrooms face one of our charming courtyards, while others are located in our main townhouse. And no matter what time you finally call it a night, you can always wake up to hot coffee and freshly baked pastries, every day, on us. Live in the French Quarter the way the locals do - make our 1830's townhouse your home away form home.
Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Review Anonymous, Houston, TX, 2006-10-15 Still in the french Quarter, but not in the nicer parts of it. Afew blocks away is where Bourbon street begins, but quite a few blocks to get to the 'real' action.Score 5 out of 5 A cozy little haven Anonymous, Chicago, IL, 2006-09-25 A Creole House is a hisoric site built in the early 1800's giving it character and charm. It wasn't like other cookie cutter hotels. The lobby has a beautiful chandelier and winding staircases. There was an amazing view of the city from our room. The hotel is a mere 2 blocks from Bourbon St. and the rest of the French Quarter. It was very cold inside the hotel, so I would recommend bringing something warm to sleep in. The staff was very helpful and polite. There is coffee and a continental breakfast in the lobby every morning. It was a great value. Score 5 out of 5 Review Evelyn, Baton Rouge, LA, 2006-06-06 I know the city if full of great places to eat, but if you are looking for some great creole food at a fraction of the cost of most resturants try coops place across from Margaritaville on Decatur!Score 5 out of 5 Review Pierre, Boston, MA, 2006-05-29 Score 2 out of 5 Very, Very Quaint Anonymous, New Orleans, LA, 2006-05-14 two blocks from Bourbon Street.Room was in an annex across street from actual hotel. Room had shuttered doors outside and french doors inside. Shuttered doors did not close all the way and were very hard to lock. French doors inside could only be closed and locked when inside room. So when sleeping in room, light came in thru doors as well as people could see in (no curtains on french doors. There was no parking provided by hotel and parking is hard to find in the French Quarter. While in the french quarter, the hotel is near North Rampart which is little less safe and there was quite a bit of street noise (cars, bottles braking, people yelling) all night. Score 4 out of 5 Cheap at edge of FQ george, New York, NY, 2006-05-02 Donna's...a great club for Brass Bands, Trad Jazz, and cheap/good BBQ and some other food.If you don't mind having a room with no windows, and no ability to control central air conditioning, this is a fine place to stay; just understand that you are here to sleep and not do anything else. Located a few steps from Donna's, a great club for brass bands and trad jazz. Two blocks from Bourbon St. in a quaint old house with a great staff. Not too expensive for the location especially with parking available. Score 5 out of 5 Great Location Anonymous, 2005-08-19 Have an idea of where to eat before setting off of the journey because New Orleans can be a bit confusing, especially once you're hungry.A Creole House was a great location since Bourbon St. is only a couple of blocks away. The price was very cheap considering the location. The hotel also gives a discount for valet parking, making the vehicle situation very easy to deal with. |
