Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 The Days Inn Stay Anonymous This hotel/motel is not near anything except a Waffle House. We ate their and it was the worse WH I have ever eaten in.Rooms (I had 2) were not clean.... The mirror in the vanity area was smudged and you could see the swipes made with a dirty rag. Faucet was dirty with other people's toothpaste. Ice machine was outside by the main office and it was the only one. The window to the outside had not been cleaned for a long time!!!!The other room had a stopped toilet and it took forever for someone to come work on it. The maintenace staff leaves at 3 pm we were told. Also, that room had an odor of cat urine. Because of Katrina/Rita hotel/motel rooms were very scarce so we had to take what we could get but I will never stay at this hotel again. The continental breakfast was next to nothing. Had frozen waffles and the small powdered donuts--OJ, warm milk, one kind of cereal and coffee. The front desk clerk had to work the breakfast bar, also. Score 4 out of 5 family friendly celia IT IS CLOSE TO THE CASINOSThis location is very satisfactory once they finish their repairs they have going and will be able to accomodate more parking for the customers and at the same time maybe they will update some of the comforts in each of the rms.The towels supplied are very scimpy as well as the lighting. When I entered the room, I noticed a strong urine smell from the bedding. Since I had arrived so late, I had to stay there. It was very difficult to sleep with the smell and needless to say, I didn't stay there for the second night of my planned itinerary. I would highly recommend that no body stay at this hotel. Could not get extra pillow. Poor upkeep and maintenance fo area and grounds. Will never stay here again. Score 1 out of 5 My review of Days Inn Lake Charles Byron, 2005-12-27 CasinoThere was hardly no parking at the hotel. Parking in the back of the hotel was pitch black. I never would have parked a car in that area. Room wasn't bad, shower head didn't harldy work right. Lady at front desk was nice. Continetal breakfast was sub-par. This was a 1.5 star hotel at best. Score 1 out of 5 Reserve hotels with caution Dennis, San Antonio, TX, 2005-10-13 I reserved a room to stay at this hotel as my halfway point while traveling from San Antonio to New Orleans. I was returning to New Orleans to retrieve some stuff from my destroyed house. When I got to the hotel, it was closed due to recent storm damage, yet was available online. The person at the hotel "had no idea" why this happened and was no help what so ever. nobody knows how such a mistake could be made, and this had to be somebody elses fault. |
