When my husband and I entered the supposed to be non-smoking room, we were overwhelmed by the smeel of cigarettes and what appeared to be wet dog smell. The bed which was supposed to be a queen, turned out to be a little larger than a twin. The bathroom had nothing but a stand up shower without a door, just a shower liner. The full kitchen was little more than a stove. The closet was four hangers beside the twin size bed. The staff when approached with the subject of our non-smoking room, put me on hold for over 5 minutes and then hung up on me. I walked down to the lobby and told the staff member we would not be needing their hotel and found a room elsewhere. I have traveled the United States many times over and I have never seen or stayed anywhere remotely as repulsive as this hotel was. The concrete leading to the rooms were stained & had not been cleaned or powerwashed for a long time. Great Location, less than a mile from everything we wanted to do. Room did smell musky. Other than that it was a great room for the money.It even had a full kitchen with all your cookware and utensils. It did have a kitchen and supplies. The matress was old but the sheets were clean. The next morning we all smelled like a big cigarette and all of are belongings did too. Would not recomened unless you smoke and are in bad need for a room. In room coffee maker but no coffee provided, however brewed coffee was always available in lobby. This hotel provides good value, not very fancy but comfortable.I will stay there again. It is clean and functional. Kitchenettes are great. Not luxurious, but is clean and closs to all of the major casinos. THIS PROCESS SLOWED DOWN OUR CHECK IN MORE THAN ALREADY. HE NEVER EXCUSED HIMSELF. THE ROOM WAS VERY SMALL AND THE BED EVEN SMALLER. THERE WAS HAIR ON THE FLOOR OF BATHROOM AND KITCHENETTE. IT WAS OBVIOUS THAT THE FLOOR HAD NOT BEEN SWEEPED OR MOPPED. THE DOOR TO THE ROOM DID NOT SEAL AND YOU COULD SEE THE LIGHTS FROM OUTSIDE. THE MOTEL HAD NO ICE MACHINE OR SODA MACHINE. WHEN LEAVING I TOOK KEY IN TO CLERK, I TOLD HER HOW DISSATISFED I WAS AND HER RESPONSE WAS OKAY. WHEN I INFORMED HER THAT MY HUSBAND AND I WOULD NOT BE BACK ,SHE JUST SHRUGGED HER SHOULDERS. THIS WAS A UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. Score 4 out of 5 My review of Crossland Shreveport-Bossier Anonymous, 2005-08-15 Several restuarants were a short drive away and it was close to a shopping mall.Hotel room was average, but no "little extras" were provided - such as shampoo, lotion, dish soap to clean dishes if used, ice trays for freezer, etc. |
