Many nearby attractions surround the hotel such as Louisiana Purchase Garden and Zoo is two miles away. University of Louisiana at Monroe is two miles away, Louisiana Tech and Grambling State University are 30 miles away. Ramada Limited in Monroe offers a outdoor pool, complimentary continental breakfast, free wireless high speed internet. Each room features a microwave and refrigerator.

There is a Subway next door and a Donut Shop about 2 minutes away.I have stayed at the Ramada Limited about 5 years ago and this hotel's upkeep was nothing like what I experienced on this last visit. First, we had to kill two roaches in our hotel room. Second, to our knowledge the refrigerator was not working, but we later found out from the front desk clerk that they cut off the refrigerators in between guests to prevent them from freezing up. Ok I don't have a problem with that, but why weren't we informed of that before initially entering the room. In most "decent or upscale hotels" the refrigerator is on when the guests arrive. I informed the manager of the roaches and the refrigerator. I told him that I was just letting him know because insects in hotel rooms are bad for business. I visit the Monroe, LA area quite often, but I will NEVER book another room at the Ramada Limited in Monore, La. Score 5 out of 5 Very comfortable Wicklynne, 2005-07-29 There was a dining facility next door and several within a .5 mile distance. The hotel served breakfast in the lobby every AM.The room was very comfortable when we entered it, a very desirable temperature during the heat spell. I loved the microwave and fridge in the room, they both worked well. Housekeeping did a thorough job each day. Score 2 out of 5 Below Average J., Hot Springs, AR, 2005-07-10 Pool was small and dirty. Room was hard to keep at a comfortable temperature. Room was dirty. The sink and the shower kept backing up. |
