Sam's Town takes pride in its accommodations and because of this pride, no detail is left untouched. The 514 rooms and suites in our 23-story hotel tower each have upgraded amenities. Two-room Magnolia suites exist on each guest floor. The 23rd floor houses a number of multi-room suites, ranging from 1,000 to 1,500 square feet. Experience the charm of an authentic Southern riverboat while playing your favorite casino games. The "Shreve Star" was created to look like a 19th century paddle wheeler, incorporating bright colors and the charm of the South. The boat was built in Morgan City, Louisiana, and was moved to Shreveport and opened in February 1995. The "Shreve Star" consists of three uniquely styled casinos, each housed on a different level. With three choices available, all players have the option to discover which casino best fits their desires.
Most recent user reviewsScore 3 out of 5 Review Anonymous there's a pretty cool club about 3 minutes away from this hotel. It's the only bar/club that we found but there were many people.Score 4 out of 5 Casino was not good guan Eldorado'hotel casino is good.Hotel's casino was old. They don't have many games. When I was checked-in, I paid $50 deposit. I've never happend this situation. It's so strange. Score 5 out of 5 Friendly outgoing people and Staff Chele, Boston, MA Samstown Resort and Gaming Hotel was a very friendly comfortable place to stay in from the moment you walked in the front doors till I checked out to head home. The employees are all outgoing friendly people who make you feel at ease and I was there for some R&R after a stressful few weeks so was quite pleased. Its close to a few other casinos and right downtown so very close to lots of places. I got the rest I really needed and would stay there on my next visit. Room was quite accomodating oonly suggestion I would make is for the wireless internet computer people I brought my laptop and couldnt use it that was te only downside and the hotels internet didnt work for my needs and was more frustrating that it was worth. Score 5 out of 5 Close to Everything Anonymous, Texarkana, AR Shopping/movies/clubs are a short drive, restaurants and casino gaming in hotel. We are regulars to Shreveport/Bossier and have stayed in several of their hotels. This was our first time to stay at Samstown hotel. The buffet was very good with courtious staff and the check in was excellent. There was a few people in line and the bus boy escorted us to the VIP room to check in. The room lighting took a while to figure out and some did not work, (or we didn't know how to turn it on). Over all we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. We visit all the casinos in town, and Sam's was easy access to all, as well as the Boardwalk for shopping/dining. Highly recommend. Score 5 out of 5 Warm welcome feeling BRENDA, Tulsa, OK You have several casinos within walking distance. Shopping everywhere you turn. The check in process was quick efficient and the staff had excellent customer service skills. The romm was great, plenty of room, the bathroom was very spacious. The bed was soooo comfortable. We had an excellent view. The buffet was awesome. You had all kinds of a selection for a resonable rate. Score 5 out of 5 Very Friendly Staff Stacy The riverwalk is close and you have a lot of shopping and restaurants to eat at.The Staff at Sam Town is very friendly and they are very caring about there visiters and the hotel is very clean and there is all kind of things to do while you are there. The parking port is a nice amenity that is conveniently located and connected to the hotel. The location is very convenient as you travel East or West on I-20 and it is easy to locate from the interstate . The casino is nice and well attended . The rooms are nice but more attention needs to be paid to the cleanliness of the bathrooms . Assuming the lack of a well cleaned bathroom was an anomally on this visit I would recommend Sam's Town due to it's location and convience along with a nicely equipped casino . Score 5 out of 5 Good Value for the Money Susan, Waco, TX, 2006-12-20 Sam's Town Shreveport is a great value for the money. The price is comparable to chain hotels and the room was large and clean. Score 5 out of 5 Good Location Anonymous, 2006-12-09 Because it is a Casino I like the fact that their was a late night restaurant open at 3:00 in the morning.Sam's Town Hotel provided a great loacation and the room was very comfortable. The things that I look for in a hotel were the comfort of the bathroom and the staff's ability to provide it's guest with the things that they need. Sam's Town was able to provide both of these things and I would not hesitate to stay at this location in the future. |
