lots of restaurants from McDonalds to Olive Garden...

that was the first time I stayed there. It was fine but because it was close to highway and there was a construction area on the highway, I was unable to sleep well. otherthan this, I think it was a good hotel. the neighborhood was good, lots of restaurants from McDonalds to Olive Garden... Close to downtown...Internet access..

turnover of employees to great

Pool & spa were a necessity for my back..they were very very pooly maintained. Chlorine burned eyes severely, and ruined my bathing suit..personnel were not cooperative as to any compensation...children were in the pool---I (a guest) encouraged the children to get OUT of the dangerous water and raised the windows and opened doors.

Poor maintenance & amenities

Bob Evans, The Olive Garden, and McDonalds were all within a short walking distance from the hotel.

Not only did the room smell nasty, but the tub needed to be replaced. The deadbolt on the door did not work. The pool was out of service - under construction, but no one was working on it during my 5 day stay. The complimentary breakfast was not very good either. But the location was superb. I was able to walk to Bob Evans for breakfast. The maids and hotel staff were friendly. But I had to leave a $10 cash deposit to turn the phone on, even though I had booked this room with a credit card - how strange.

Great for the price

For a Days Inn I found exceptional quality in this hotel located off Hurstbourne Parkway within a block of several rsstaurants and I-64. The towels were especially fluffy and thick. The breakfast and free USA Today were more than adequate. An excellent value for the money and location.

Downtown Louisville had some good bars and clubs if you are into that. It only took 10 minutes to get downtown from the hotel (which is right on the highway). As I said above, staff was helpful in giving me a map and directions.

Days Inn was a good value for the money. Pros were the price, continental breakfast and free Wi-Fi. Even though I arrived just after the cut-off time for free breakfast, the food was still fully stocked and fresh. Check-in attendent was very helpful answering questions about the Louisville area. The only con was room cleanliness... most of which you can write-off because of the low price at this facility, but we had a cockroach in the room one night. Hopefully an isolated experience. Again, good value overall.

The hotel had a pool that I didn't see in the hotel description, you may want to double check on that. The check-in and check-out was easy. The continental breakfast left allot to be desired. The breakfast room was small and unsupervised. Many children were helping themselves to food, I saw a little girl pick up several donuts before actually taking one.
