worst place I ever stayed

The room was somewhat clean, but definetly needed updating. The lamp was broke, the bedspread was stained,the water in the sink only came out in a trickle, the shower head was so low you had to squat down to wash your hair and I'm only 5'7,the toilet kept running until you took the cover off and fixed it,the television only had half of a picture,the pool was in the middle of the parking lot,all night cars were riding by with loud music playing. Actually, the only good thing was the ice machine, that worked fine. Then charging us 15.00 extra because we didn't have to stay the extra night, it's not as if people were lined up to get into this place. I would never stay in this place again and I would never recommend this place to anyone!

theres a reasturant not o far and a couple fast food places a nd even a super walmart

the ottawa days inn was very nice and in a good area and we liked the roomy bathroom and if we stayed in that area again we would probally stay there again

There several fast food places just south of the motel, across from Wal-Mart. The Applebees was very good.

Our stay at the Ottawa Days Inn was something of a surprise. The whole motel was very clean and well kept. Our room was fairly new and ample sized with a king bed. It was a handicaped accessable room. The bathroom was quite large, tiled, and with plenty of grab bars. The tub had a very nice shower head and holder, but you have to get your feet over the side of the tub side. There was a moveable shower seat. The commode should have been the taller style. But overall it was very nice.

The local Mexican restaurant, Mezcal, was a great discovery. Easily found on Main Street just 5 minutes from the hotel.

Although the overall impression of the Days Inn in Ottawa is that it appears to be a reasonable value for the money. Upon closer inspection you realize that you are lacking some basics. The overwhelming element lacking is cleanliness. Carpets were visibly stained, there was visible dirt on the bathroom floor and around the tub grout. There were cigarette holes in the bedding in a non-smoking room. The staff was friendly and helpfull when on the first morning we had no hot water to shower. I am only 5'2" tall and after we got hot water the shower head was literally at forehead level. The air conditioning was loud enough it needed to be turned off to sleep. Summer in Kansas, not a good time for that. The place needs some work to be 2 star.
