Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Disappointed, ripped off Sharron, San Jose, CA Several restaurants 1-2 miles away. The room did not have an alarm clock, shampoo or lotion, no hairdryer, no iron, bed uncomfortable. Continental breakfast cereal and muffins, hotel always out of coffee. Staff not available at the front desk when I had questions and did not answer the bell on the desk. no hotel amenities of any kind. Score 2 out of 5 The hotel depends on the management Anonymous There is a shopping center across the street, strip-malls within view, but it is necessary to drive to either because of the busy street adjacent to the motel. There are numerous places to eat, good chains, but again it would be necessary to drive to these. At this Motel 8, I was very dissatisfied when at the last minute I realized none of the electrical sockets worked, except behind the TV and the set drawers that was it's perch. I was thus forced to go to a very important meeting with my hair all a frizz because I couldn't tame it with a curling iron. The following week I ventured to another Motel 8, in the same city, but a different motel. After checking in, I discovered that the room had no remote, a broken recliner and no chest for the suitcase. The management didn't know anything about the problems in the room, but quickly moved me. The next room was satisfactory. No compensation was made for the problems found or the incovience of moving. The electrical sockets in this Motel 8, however, worked. My husband and I had one pillow to share and one towel to share. It was almost like they just put something together. I will not stay there again. Score 3 out of 5 Not much for the money Anonymous, 2006-04-23 The Super 8 Motel East was not much for the money. Most motel/hotels have a fridge in them which is conventient with children. It was dreary. Score 4 out of 5 Good place to shower and sleep Anonymous, 2006-02-17 Right off the expressway.I was happy the Super Eight was inclosed and did not have room entrances from the outside perimeter. The room was comfy. Great shower. Lack of internet, and resturant was a bummer. But for a no frills overnight stay is was just fine. There was a little fidge in the room, so that was nice. The room was really clean. The Super eight was in a seedy part of town - but very close to downtown. Score 4 out of 5 Very economical Danny, 2005-09-01 Shopping was just accross the streetI look for basic comports at an affordable price and this motel was acceptable.
