Rates need adjusting

Bob Evans right next store. Close to 15 restaraunts within a mile.

I stay in a lot of hotels as I travel 60% of the time. This hotel was WAY overpriced. I didnt have many options since the Illinois State Fair was going on, but I will not stay here again.

Clean and white facilities

The Bob Evans restaurant next door is known for its country breakfast. Try the full course breakfast with hot biscuits and gravy with country bacon and ham.

The Signature Inn was a very comfortable but adequate coom. It had a small refrigerator which was good for my medication; a lounge and a sitting chair with a king-size bed for my wife and me. There was a valet closet for clothes which had an ironing board and iron within and an easily accessible bathroom with a separate sink outside. This made for an easy time for my shaving while my wife showered. The location was excellent right next to a Bob Evans restaurant but the property had breakfast facilities which was very adequate.

Nice Bob Evans restaurant next door as well as other dining estalishments within walking distance or a short drive.

I was pleased with the hotel staff. They dealt with issues in a timely manner and were very friendly. Nice stay for either pleasure or business trips. Nice pool area as well as work-out center. Access to business areas (i.e. internet, work spaces, etc.)

NO ROOM AT THE INN

A MEXICAN RESTAURANT WAS CLOSE BY. THE FOOD WAS GOOD.THE AREA HAD A FEW HOTELS CLOSE IN THE AREA. WAS A LITTLE DISTANCE TO DOWNTOWN SPRINGFIELD.

THE PROBLEM WAS WITH SIGNATURE INN NOT KNOWING WHAT WAS GOING ON. WE HAD NO RESERVATION WHEN WE GOT THERE. WE BOOKED A MONTH A GO.SO WE GOT A ROOM WITH DOUBLE BEDS NOT A KING'. CARPET WAS DIRTY A ND SO WAS THE ROOM. IT NEEDED A GOOD CLEANING FROM THE FLOOR TO THE CEILING. NOT JUST A ONCE OVER. WE HEARD OTHERS THAT WERE NOT SATISFIED ALSO. I WOULD NEVER STAY AT A SIGNATURE INN AGAIN. AFTER I SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER WHEN WE GOT HOME SHE DID NOT CHARGE US FOR OUR STAY. I TOLD HER TO TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THESE ROOMS.NEVER AGAIN!

The size of the room was spacious and organized well. The rooms were pretty sound proof for the most part. We did however have a problem the second day we were there. We left at 9:40 and returned to the room at 4 p.m. and our room was not yet made up. A call to the front desk brought less than a positive response but they found someone to come up and freshen up the room. Our comment card was answered quickly by the corporate office and they resolved the issue.
