Most recent user reviewsScore 3 out of 5 Good Location, no service Nelson, Louisville, KY, 2006-05-21 The Howard Johnson have clean rooms, but the level of noise was sometimes too high. The parking lot was inadecuate to hold a full capacity hotel and the staff was not friendly and attentive as expected. The location is good, close to the airport, the fairgrounds, and downtown Springfield. The hotel grounds seem a bit rundown with pot holes in the driveway, no much light around the parking area, and no live music or entertainment facilities. Score 2 out of 5 My review of Howard Johnson Inn - Springfield Suites Elizabeth, 2005-11-08 On the first night, there were about two other cars in the lot, and on the second night, there was only one other car in the lot, which was eery--to feel like I was the only person in the hotel. It it was not atrocious, but it's basically a motel with nothing special, very barren and cheap feeling, charging hotel prices. Score 2 out of 5 close to attractions, but not a well kept hotel Anonymous, Chicago, IL, 2005-08-07 oakridge cemetary is across the highway. My stay at this began with check in. The name of the hotel suggests suites. It is not. Standard hotel room, no mircowave, no fridge. A 3 star rating is incorrect. my room had serious maintence problems. The tile in my bathroom was broked in several places. not just chipped but loose and shards of tile as the foot of the tub and toilet. the sink was clogged and I was told the maintence people did not work on weekends. We had a fire alarm go off and the alam could not be heard in the rooms nor could the system alert to the room that set off alam could be located by the fire dept or the staff. the staff had to knock on the door of every room to check the detector and alert the guest of an alarm. Next, full buffet breakfast was actually a continental one. I would not reccommend this hotel for safety reasons as well as a serious lack of cleanliness(pool had millions af ants in the pool as well as on the deck) and basic maintence problems. Score 5 out of 5 stuff were so nice Anonymous, New York, NY, 2005-07-20 The hotel did not have restaurant and that was a trouble, but the stuff were really really nice. The outside pool was a decent size and it was nice refleshment. |
