Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Traveler Friendly Anonymous, Allentown, PA They provide a complimentary discount voucher at a nearby restaurant. The La Quinta Inn staff was accommodating to my needs. Flights do not always work with check-in times at hotels. Being able to arrive early and have a room available was a luxury that I don't often receive when traveling. I am aware that this is not something they can provide in all circumstances, but getting a room before scheduled check-in instead of "sticking to the rules" was very nice and appreciated. The room was a nice size (some hotels have large closets for rooms) and the desk area was well laid out. I enjoyed a wireless connection that actually worked. I am also a big fan of La Quinta's complimentary breakfast. It is much more than donuts and coffee. Score 4 out of 5 Not bad for business travel Anonymous, Boston, MA, 2006-10-05 Go to Lush in the mall nearby (in a corner at Macy's) and get some awesome smelling bubble bath. It makes up for the fact that the bathtub isn't that comfortable. The La Quinta in Oak Brook isn't the shiniest, comfiest hotel going, but I don't know if there's a cheaper one with free wireless (which I totally used) and a continental breakfast (which looked a little gross, so I stayed away from it)in the area. The pillows were lumpy, the mattress was anything but a dream but hey. A bed's a bed, and the room was clean for what it was. Not a lot to do in the area, except go to the mall. The room was a pretty decent size and if I recall correctly there was an office-type chair at the desk in the room, but I could just be mis-remembering that. There was also horse racing on satilite across the street. The La Quinta in Oakbrook is a basic hotel with very few frills. The staff was nice, but the hotel was ok. The smell of dog poop was noticable around the pool area. It served its purpose for a place to sleep at night. Score 4 out of 5 Decent value for the money Michael, Chicago, IL, 2006-04-01 Close to the interstate with easy on/off.Older hotel but it has been kept up and was a good value for the money. Room was clean and it was located in a good area. Close to the interstate so it was easy to get to O'Hare airport the next morning. Score 2 out of 5 Room smelled like smoke Anonymous, Durham/Raleigh, NC, 2006-03-31 Denny was right accross the streetI got a non-smoking room, and the bathroom reaked of cigerettes. When I closed the door to the bathroom, it was OK, but once I reopened it, the smell would just blow me away. Score 3 out of 5 Overall, the stay was fine. Good value. Carrie, Grand Rapids, MI, 2006-03-12 Walgreens right across the street. Was helpful when I needed cough drops.La Quinta - Oakbrook Terrace was a clean, bare-bones facility. A safe, easy stay. I was surprised at this becuause it was so cheap. We stayed at another hotel last time that was more expensive, and La Quinta was better and cheaper. Score 5 out of 5 Convenient Janice, Madison, WI, 2005-11-13 Oakbrook and Yorktown shopping centers are both nearby. We spent 3 hours in the awesome Marshall Fields at Oakbrook. This hotel was clean, relatively quiet and close to great shopping in urban Chicago at both Oakbrook and Yorktown. They served an average continental breakfast and had easy check-in and check-out. Score 5 out of 5 If you care about a fitness center, stay here Anonymous, San Francisco, CA, 2005-10-19 Plenty of chain restaurants on 22nd street, or check out Anyway's on Roosevelt (Across from Bally's) for some great appetizersTrue, the fitness center on the property itself is limited, but the hotel has a relationship with a Bally's club about a mile away, and you can use their club for free while you stay at La Quinta. The club was OUT OF THIS WORLD. One of the best fitness centers I have ever visited outside a major city. Oh yeah... The hotel. It was just fine. Comfortable, very conveniently located, clean and the staff was kind and considerate. Great midwest hospitality. I plan to stay at La Quinta in Oakbrook again. By the way... did I mention the AWESOME fitness club? |
