Not a good experience

This hotel is located near restaurants and shopping.

The Marion Days Inn is in serious need of an upgrade. Wallpaper was falling off the walls of our rooms, there were holes in the walls, the room was not clean and the towels were paper thin & scratchy. The second day we were there no one cleaned our room so we had to go down to the front desk at midnight to retrieve clean towels for the next day. The only good things I can say from our stay is that there was a small refrigerator in the room, the air conditioning worked well and the location was good. Not a good value for the money and we would not stay there again.

Marion Ill. had a great antique mall which kept my wife and I shopping for several hours

The Days inn in Marion Ill had a free continental breakfast which was very good. The room had a very nice bathroom which had been recently remodeled. The air conditioner worked great. The hotel had an indoor pool which was very clean. It also had an exercise room with showers. The lobby was big with nice furniture to sit on. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean.

Major remodeling in needed. There was a pervasive odor in our room. We were not able to determine if the odor was from the water or was sewer gas. The water had a smell and taste that was distasteful. The continental breakfast was minimal. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was convenient to the interstate highway.
