Bad Experience

The Best Western Des Plaines was not a very good experience. The room was very noisy, we were waken by several girls at 2:30 am and continued to be noisy for an hour. We could actually hear one of the girl's cell phone shut in the next room. The rooms need more sound proofing. The breakfast was adequate, however the staff was very apologetic about the girls and did allow us to park our car free for 1 night.It was only a 15 minute drive to OHare Airport.

Allstate Arena is just a short $7 cab ride away from the hotel. Also great restaurants in all directions ranging from elegant to sports bar.

The Best Western Des Plaines is reasonably priced for it's proximity to a variety of things. It is not too close to O'Hare airport, that it is overly expensive, and does not have anything worth remaining at the hotel for, other than sleeping. The pool is a waste of space, and a continental breakfast without juice? And woe be it that someone find a snow shovel. But it was a short cab ride to our Christmas party at one of the finest restaurants in the area. It is also very close to the Allstate Arena, so we might possibly stay there again if we get concert or game tickets. While getting kind of run down and needing maintenance, it was relatively clean.

a good bargain if you need to be close to O'Hare. one of the original McDonalds is nearby.
