Red Lion Hotel Pocatello is conveniently located in the heart of Pocatello. This emerging city is a regional center for shopping, education, medical care and cultural activities - golfing, skiing, snowmobile, casino gambling and bingo are just some of the activities to enjoy while in the area.Renovation Notice:The Pool & Hot Tub have recently undergone a complete re-surfacing. Come and enjoy the refreshed indoor pool.
Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Pretty Nice Anonymous, 2006-05-14 The hotel was decent. The price was outrageous due to many events happening over the weekend that I stayed. The hotel was doing some renovation and was a little hard to navigate at times. I was on the second floor with no elevator in the building. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Clean and comfortable rooms. I have kids and stayed at the Red Lion because of the indoor pool. The pool was ice cold though. I really do not want to go back to Pocatello again but if I was forced to go there I would probably stay at the hotel again. Score 3 out of 5 NOT TOO GREAT Carol, Philadelphia, PA, 2005-08-08 there is a driving range approximately 1/2 mile from the hotel. Also, hiking, and water activities within a fairly short drive.I'll start with a positive comment - the bathroom was in nice condition but the cloth shower curtain allowed water to leak all over the floor. The bed should have been a king but was a queen instead - located in a corner of a very nice sized room - which did appear neat and clean. There were only two light fixtures in the room and neither was close enough to the bed to allow for comfortable reading in bed. There were no other amenities such as mini-refrigerator (which some of the other guests did have in their room along with a microwave). There is no elevator so be sure to call hotel directly to order a 1st floor room if you can't climb steps. The only handicapped parking/ access is at the lobby entrance. Restaurant - the food was fine - service was sparse and slow - we had a group of 7 for dinner on a Friday evening and we were the only people in the restaurant. For a one-night stay it should be fine, but for several days visit either be very specific or look elsewhere. |
