We found quite the assortment of clubs--providing a good variety of entertainment, including country music, rock music, comedy and a rodeo. The Super 8 Motel in Fort Dodge IA has great rates. With the high price of gas these days--great motel rates sure help in offsetting travel expenses! If you like Chinese food--a great Chinese buffet awaits you just a hop skip and a jump from the front door of the motel (also very reasonably priced). A short drive to downtown Fort Dodge and your certain to find an evenings worth of entertainment. Score 4 out of 5 New Motel - 1st Visit Anonymous, Cedar Rapids, IA, 2005-12-01 Book early as the motels in the area fill up quickly during the week - only problem with booking online is that you have to do each room separately and can't change information if you enter something wrong. Luckily it was easily straightened out when we checked in.The motel itself was very clean and fresh as it is fairly new. The people at the front desk were helpful and friendly. Both my husband and myself had trouble with our door keys - had to have them redone 2-4 times and they still did not work or did not work very well. Need to have a better variety in the breakfast bar - low carb option would be nice. Tried a little of the bisquits and gravy and it was cold so not very edible. Have never spent 2 nights in the same motel and not had the beds made up for the next day! The maid knocked early in the a.m., asked if we needed anything and never came back! Luckily we had enough clean towels. I would really like a recliner in my room as I can't always sleep on a hard mattress. Location was just fine as the town is not all that big. |
