Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 airport convenient Anonymous, Omaha, NE Rooms were clean, staff was helpful. Bathrooms were a little small, but adequate. Great access to the airport and this motel has arrangements for vehicle storage with a local provider which worked out great for us! Score 5 out of 5 convenient, clean Anonymous, Belfast There is a park immediately adjacent to the hotel. You can walk around the little lake if you are a jogger. Also, this is the closest you can get to the airport. It is less than a mile down the road.I don't normally stay at discount hotels, so I was a little concerned that the hotel might be dirty, noisy, etc. However, I thought this hotel was a very good choice for the money. It was very clean, and I didn't notice any noise at all. Check-in was very quick, and the free shuttle to the nearby Epply field was painlessly convenient. The pool was nice and well maintained, except that it smelled very chlorine-y. The breakfast was cereal, danish, milk, coffee, toast style continental. It was no-frills, but good. The blankets and towels were thin, but probably standard for this type of facility. Anyway, if you need an inexpensive hotel near the airport, this is a good choice. Score 3 out of 5 TOO YOUNG FOR SUCH A SOURPUSS Anonymous, Milwaukee, WI, 2007-02-20 I loved visiting Omaha. The Funny Bone, the Joslyn Museum, the Casino (of course), and we even got to see a USHL Hockey Game. So much to do in Council Bluffs and Omaha...it was a great visit..with the exception of sourpuss. The Super8 chain may not be known for its world class amenities, but a smile can go along way. There was a sports tournament in the neighboring town, so all of the rooms were full during 2 of the 3 nights I stayed. Arriving I was greeted by about 30 giggeling loud 13-15 year olds all in the lobby. But rather than being welcomed at check in, the young lady behind the desk simply scouled..looked at me and said YES! It was rather odd to see someone that young (not more than 19 or 20)with such a sourpuss. I thought maybe it was the hour and the number of kids in her close proximity, so I checked in and went to the room. Each and every time I went to or past the front desk it was the same disgrunteled look. HONEY!!! IF YOU DONT LIKE YOUR JOB...LEAVE IT!!! People are away from home and they need to be treated kindly, especially if they are alone. I made it a habit of addressing other staff the 2 more times I had to stop at the desk so as not to incur her obvious lack of courtsey. It was my first time in the area, my first time at a Super8, but if this lack of courtsey is representative of other Super8's, I won't be handing over my money to them anytime soon. The room was fine, the location was good, the room was clean and I even got the extra blanket I asked for, but a simple hello would have been a real bonus. I WAS ON VACATION FOR GOODNESS SAKE!! Score 4 out of 5 Nice motel. Anonymous, 2006-10-28 The motel was okay and the location to the airport was great, plus the shuttle to and from the motel was excellent. However, the problem came when at 12:30 a.m. I was awaken by someome trying to get in my room. This was rather scarey since I was alone. The check-in person put me in the computer as being in Rm 224, but keyed my passes and put on the outside of the envelope for Rm 234. That was where I was and the night check-in person thought 234 was vacant. Thank goodness I had locked the security locks inside or I'm sure the people would have walked right in. It was an elderly couple, but the scenerio could have been much worse. I would still stay at this motel in the future because of its location to the airport and I would hope this was an isolated incident. Score 5 out of 5 Very Accomodating arnold, Springfield, IL, 2006-09-08 The attendants at the desk were very friendly. We asked about directions to certain store. They had some already written in advance. She also took the time to help us with the directions. We are on a budget, so the breakfast in the morning, was a true blessing. They could not have been more helpful. We also felt very safe here. Score 4 out of 5 Clean, Economical, Well-located, but Disappointing Bedding and Carpets Thom, 2006-08-26 Though there is an attractive but small indoor pool, this is not a destination hotel. It helps to remember that you are saving money. At about half the price of some nearby competitors, Super 8 holds its own on convenience, cleanliness, and quietude. But the rumpled corridor carpeting and the handkerchief-thin bedsheets, pillowcases, and bedcovers give you a little chill as you lie waiting for sleep. Complimentary breakfast, too, is overly utilitarian -- few options and seating is mostly in the lobby. Somebody tell the owners to throw some money at the bedding...and the breakfast. Please. Score 5 out of 5 military friendly Anonymous, 2006-07-15 Just on my home on leave, needed a place to sleep while I waited for my parents to come and get me to go home. I had a great night sleep. Score 5 out of 5 Very conveinant for travelers who are not familiar with the airport area. Lorene, Cairo, 2006-03-13 Very clean and reasonable. Closeness to the airport is really a plus since not familiar with the area. Score 5 out of 5 Comfortable and Convenient Anonymous, 2005-12-29 The Super 8 was very comfortable for our over-night stay before flying out the next day. It was very easy to locate and very convenient getting to the airport. I especially liked the fact that there were several outlets available to plug in curling irons, etc. Score 5 out of 5 Very Suitable Location Sid, Omaha, NE, 2005-10-30 Very close to the airport.I liked the location very much. The fact that they have long-term parking to accommodate air travelers was a plus. I will be using it again every time I must travel by air. |
