Decent Lodging for the money

Anonymous, Boston, MA

Grocery store is nearby and had a nice selection. One restaurant "Sharky's" nearby. Didn't dine there.

Nice condo. The kitchen was a little dated, but everything else was modern. I had two negatives: 1. The Condo check-in is located 1/2 mile up the road. I had to call them on my cell to figure that out. I couldn't find this documented anywhere. 2. I was staying right near the main road and it was very noisy, at all hours of the night, from traffic. The noise insulation in the condo was very weak, so it was a particularly restive place. There were other units farther away from the road that probably would've been quieter. Check-in/Check-out was very professional. I'd stay again if I could get assurances about a quieter (further from the road) unit. There was one grocery store in the vicinity and one restaurant. About 6 miles inland from the ocean.

Just OK

Clean room, spacious town home. Family style, everything you need in kitchen. But: washing mach. broken, leaks water; TV old and broken, weired picture. Front desk not very friendly, no aloha. a lot of people in jacussi tub, or waiting. Worst thing: check in time late, check out way too early at 10.

My review of Paniolo Greens Resort

Hilton Resort

We just spent the night. Checked in a 10 pm and left the following morning at 7 am. We did not really have a chance to look at the facilities.

Great getaway

Anonymous, 2006-10-14

There is a tennis court and swimming pool available.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a well kept, clean and spacious condo with tons of storage space. I don't think I've stayed anywhere else with as much storage space. This would be a great place to stay if you were staying for an extended period of time. The staff were extremely pleasant and cordial and the grounds were well kept. We were only there for four days but apparently you get an extra "cleaning" mid-stay so on our second night we were thrilled to come home to a clean condo with new sheets and towels. You can also borrow rice cookers, teflon frying pans etc. at no extra cost; the condo was well supplied with pots and pans and dishes, etc. I would definitely stay here again!

comfortable atmosphere

Perry, Springfield, IL, 2006-09-24

Golf courses and country style atmosphere with Waimea town not more than fifteen minutes away and the world famous Parker Ranch.

Location was very good....right on the golf course. Lanai atmosphere was very relaxing seeing the green colors of the lush fairways. The kitchen area was much larger than expected and the master bedroom was fantastic with a large king size bed.

Great for Relaxing

Anonymous, Honolulu, HI, 2006-07-24

Shopping, entertainment, dining and recreation only minutes way. Big resorts, beautiful beaches and golf courses, small shopping mall provide things to do.

This 2 bedroom condo was clean, comfortably furnished in a pleasant, well-maintained property on a golf course. The kitchen was well lighted and allowed for easy service to the dining area. Would suggest brighter lights in living area - at least one lamp bright enough to read by. Even during the day the living room did not receive much natural light so it was rather dark. Shopping, world class golf courses, large hotels 10 minutes away. A quiet area well suited for family vacations. If you're planning to cook your own meals, be prepared to spend a little more for groceries. The only supermarket - 5 minutes away - is rather pricey.

Review

We brought food with us from the mainland to cook. The kitchens are well equipped and appointed. There's just about everything you'd need to make a simple meal, plus a number of outdoor grills. Given the fact that groceries and food are expensive in Hawaii, we found this an excellent value.

My review of Paniolo Greens Resort

randall, Fresno, CA, 2006-04-17

Thia was a very nice hotel with an exceptionally helpful staff. An excellent value, and good location, as long as you don't mind a little breeze at night. On two occasions when we had difficulties operating the barbecue outside, as it was after dark, a staff person came out to help within 5 minutes. I highly recommend the Paniolo greens resort!!!!

Very Family Friendly

Annette, Olympia, WA, 2006-02-23

If you visit the volcano's, we highly recommend that you take the hike out to see the lava flows, especially before sunset (allow an hour before sunset to hike out). The view right before and after suset is spectacular. The hike is over uneven surfaces on the lava, so bring good hiking shoes, water, snacks and flashlights for each person.

Paniolo Greens Resort was very roomy. We especailly liked that it was two bedroom with two bathrooms. The kids loved the TV's in each room and swimming pool (kid pool 18" and reg pool 3-4'). There ws penlty of room for a family without feeling crowded and tons of storage. The full kitchen was nice to keep cost down, and the resport had gas BBQ's throughout the property too. Our room was on the golf greens, so the view was nice. Currently the Registration area is in a separate area then the resort, which was a little confusing at 11 p.m. It is located in a shopping center next door to the resort - after the golf greens. I believe they are trying to re-locate it in the future.
