You should have a spot to check if there are no dining optionsThe room was on a lower level where it was dark and very damp. Pull out bed was the worst I have ever slept on and cover on sofa bed felt and looked dirty. Had to move heavy table to get it open. Ants in kitchen. Location was ok and it was fairly quiet. Score 4 out of 5 Great Visit less the cool air Laura, Phoenix, AZ, 2006-11-02 Great shoping and fun activities on Front Street! The Paki Maui was a very nice hotel and a value for the price. It had had beautiful ocean views and was conviently located. The downfalls were the rocky ocean front did not allow us to enjoy the ocean at the hotel location. Also the rooms did not have air conditioning! With the warm humid weather this was a real challenge for us! Score 4 out of 5 amily riendly Anonymous, Fresno, CA, 2006-10-19 1. Very nice view of the ocean and other islands. 2. Good location. 3. carpet is somewhat smelly. 4. Parking should be free. Score 5 out of 5 Well Worth It Jacob, 2006-06-07 Perfectly located and wonderful view at the Tesort Quest Paki Maui. No restaurant but the rooms (actually condos) are fantastic!! Price is fair - you won't regret it. Score 5 out of 5 My review of ResortQuest Paki Maui (formerly Aston Paki Maui) Erin, 2006-06-07 Grocery store was a long walk or a very short drive - less than a mile. This waw a great place to stay for our first time visit to Maui. The staff was very gracious and helpful. The condo was spotless and was equipped with a few small features not found in many of our condo visits elsewhere such as soap, shampoo, papertowels, dishwasher detergent, soap/scubbers and daily towel service. Our view was awesome - beach and reef and Molokai and Lanai in the distance with fantastic sunsets. Used the pool and even barbequed burgers and hotdogs on 2 occasions and ate by the pool. Just lovely - the interior gardens were lush and added the tropical feel we were looking for. I would highly recommend the Paki Maui. The condo was oceanfront with two lanais and the breeze kept us very comfortable. The rooms were spacious and the furnishings were of high quality. The kitchen was very well equipped right down to the wine glasses. The maid service was prompt and friendly, the grounds were spotless and well manicured. Shopping was close by for all of your needs and wants. Parking was one half of what we paid at other resorts. The lack of a restaurant was not a handicap. We picked up fresh fruit at a farmers market a block away, fresh coconut muffins and coffee, juice etc. at the Star Market, about three blocks away and we were all set. There were many lounges for sun-bathing and the beach and swimming between the reefs was perfect for families and snorkeling. A glass of wine on the lanai to toast the sunset-doesn't get much better. Will go back to PakiMaui. Score 5 out of 5 Very nice place Melyssa, Phoenix, AZ, 2006-03-15 You are very close to Whaler's Village with great shopping and good restaurants. I would not recommend Rusty Harpoon--bad service, and bad food. Also Ray's is up the street a few minutes and was excellent. Lahaina has little shops and some great restaurants. Longhi's is along Front Street and had excellent fish and seafood.Paki Maui was a fantastic place to stay!. It included a kitchen and living room type setting with a porch facing into a central courtyard. The pool was right next to the ocean and had a great family atmosphere. Very cheap for the Kaanapali area and Maui in general. I think it's a great deal! I loved everything about this place except for the noise. If anybody was outside or in the room next to you, you could hear everything that is going on. But other than that, we had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone! The view of of the ocean and the island of Lanai was fabulous, specially during sunrise and sunset. I liked the full kitchen (fully equipped with a full refrigerator, full cooking range and diswasher) and private laundry more than anything else. they were a boon because eating outside is generally expensive. For the price, you get a spacious room and great service. I highly recommend this place. The main limitation was the small pool. My friends at the Embassy even though the resort was a great value. |
